I'm considering UMKC for Fall '09 admission.

I see that they offer grade forgiveness, but what courses do they actually calculate to determine your GPA and math/science GPA?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know a whole lot about the grade forgiveness policy (it's been a year or so since I talked the their Pharm School advisor).

From what I recall, they will accept grade replacement for a class if it meets the following criteria:

1. Class title for your replacement course is the EXACT same title as your previous-didn't-do-so-well course.

2. Number of credit hours for your replacement course is the EXACT same number as your previous-didn't-do-so-well course.

This makes it hard for someone like me that's attended a couple different schools and has classes that cover the same subject but have differing titles or number of hours. Example: UMKC Bio 1 is 4 credit hours. University of Missouri Columbia Bio 1 is 5 credit hours.

Thanks, JURGIS!

Anyone else?

Hate to burst your bubble, but UMKC is not offering admission for Fall 2011. The reason for this is because they are in the middle of changing their curriculum from 1-5 (one year prereqs and 5 years of pharmacy school) to 2-4 (two years of prereqs and 4 years of pharmacy school). The next class that they will accept is Fall 2012 and this class will be current with their new curriculum. I am in the last class of the old curriculum (Fall 2010). Good luck.
