Hi,

Just wondering what if there is a preference for UNCCH students is into their medical school. Are there a reserved # of spots for UNCCH undergrad going into their med school? Im currently deciding where to go for undergrad

No. No medical school does that to my knowledge. State schools (like ECU) will only educate in-state students, but Carolina is not one of them.

Go where your GPA will be highest.

As @ahc336 said, go where you will succeed. Going to UNC in the hopes of having a "connection," but winding up with a bad GPA will be much worse than going elsewhere and being able to really thrive. Go where you will be happy. Now, if UNC seems like the perfect fit, then by all means go to UNC. But I don't think it will really boost you much at all, once application season rolls around. The only thing would be the opportunities to network with professors and possibly getting to know important people in the med school through the science departments. But I didn't go to UNC, so I'm not sure if this happens or not.
