Dumb question, but med schools will require a final transcript before matriculation right?

Reason I’m asking is because I only have 12 credits left and I’ll be finishing up in the fall. The only required “pre-med” class I have left to take, however, is physics 2 and lab.

I know this might sound terrible, but it’d be nice to not put in as much effort studying-wise in my last semester, especially because I’ll (hopefully) have interviews that’ll interfere with with my schoolwork. It’d really be nice to relax for once (I already have close to a 4.0, so I have no desire of showing med schools that I improved my gpa when there’s nothing left to improve). But will med schools still want to see I’m in good standing?

Sorry sweetheart, almost every medical school requires evidence of a bachelors degree prior to matriculation.

Are you saying you want to go into your last semester of college planning on failing and not graduating...?

Not failing, just if I could “relax” and get a B or something lol

As long as you finish your bachelors with moderately good grades (B and up). You should be fine. Schools can reverse their decisions to admit you, but your GPA would probably have to drop dramatically before that happens

Ok yeah that's perfectly fine. The last sentence of the OP made it seem like you were gonna go awol from your final exams or something

Thanks guys!

Yeah I should have clarified, sorry for the misunderstanding lol

I know this sounds arrogant, but I haven’t gotten any Bs at all so far in my undergrad. I was wondering how detrimental it would be for some admission committee to get my final transcript and see that my final classes all resulted in Bs, haha

They probably won't care. If you failed all of them that'd be a different story. Only thing is if you end up needingg to reapply it won't look too good.

A rare school will impose a terms of acceptance requirement that your academic progress must be in keeping with your past record. Even for one like that, I doubt one B would result in a rescission of an acceptance.
