Are you a UBC student? Whats your GPA is you dont mind me asking and are you first year? The other guys must have incomplete application ie. didnt meet the prereqs or maybe things werent submitted on time.

I am not a UBC student. I am at about 80% right now.
Yep, first year student but I will have both of the organic chemistry classes done by end of June.
 
Does anyone know if verifiers have been contacted yet??

hey does anyone know how many OOPs UBC accepted last year?
 
when are we going to see if we get the interview invite? is it around May 20?
 
In recent years it seems that it could be anywhere from mid-May to early-June

How do we know if UBC has received our final transcript?

Still waiting for final transcripts, but my institution still hasn't even posted my final grades for this term yet, so that makes sense for me anyway.

P.S. Everyone should just take a deep breath and get ready for a loooooong wait. The interview invites might come out sometime this month, then interviews in June, but the time between now and when they finally announce their decisions in July passes SO SLOWLY. I stressed myself out way too much about it last year. So relax and just let things happen. =)
 
^ I think Student Services Centre..? The status on mine is that 'my application is ready for evaluation'.
 
What does the SSC status say when the final transcript is received?

This is what mine says: "Your supplemental application is currently under review by the Faculty/School. We will notify you by email as soon as the faculty has made their decision."

@Farmasy

They'll say something along the lines of "We received your final transcript". Just relax; these guys have gone through thousands of applications, and they most likely won't screw things up. They'll probably email you when there's a problem.

Edit: I just checked my status and it says the same.

Here's what the FAQ in the Faculty of Pharmacy website says:
http://www.saplinglearning.com/ibiscms/course/view.php?id=2962"If I am currently at UBC or UBC-Okanagan, do I need to send my transcripts again?

No, Enrolment Services will have your transcripts. But please be sure to submit an online Application for Re-Admission/Change of Program (available on the SSC)."

So... I'm sure they have my transcript. If you're OOP, I think it's a different matter.
 
Weird, I am OOP and the list I previously had of what documents transcript-wise had been received and were still needed is gone and I also have the "Your supplemental application is currently under review by the Faculty/School. We will notify you by email as soon as the faculty has made their decision" status on the SSC. My final grades were literally posted on the 9th and printed and mailed on the 10th, so I am shocked that there could possibly be such fast turn around because I thought that my transcript was just being sent by regular mail and assumed it would take enrolment services at least a few days to process my transcript. Thoughts anyone? Should I call and double check that this confirms their receipt of my transcripts?
 
holy! ubc scared me the other day XD

they sent me this email saying update on your application to UBC

I thought it was to say i got rejected already from pharmacy

but instead i was rejected from my second choice.. sciences.. because i took too many credits at capilano :s

so much for back up plan XD
 
According to my records, interview invites went out on May 17th last year... which was a Monday. Will we be so lucky to see some tomorrow or sometime this week?
 
Did anyone get thier rejection letters yet? do they come at the same time as the invites?
 
I would assume that they would come at the same time as interview invites. Do you know of anyone who has gotten a rejection yet?
 
Ya~~ We should all receive invitation or rejection letter in the afternoon if the department follows the time frame as last years.. GL everyone ! 🙂

So maybe they won't send the emails out today since it is mid-May.

I got an invite as an OOP and I'm pretty sure my friend did too. Such a relief as it had me quite worried.. : )

225/350 chance doesn't seem bad at all!

How many people do you think come off the waitlist on average?

Wow! I really thought it would be more than that.

I heard UofT gets like 20-30 but I guess that partially because they have Waterloo right there?


I think I'm just gonna say any of the 4 days. I'd prefer an afternoon one though, but morning is doable too.
 
Is there a better date to do the interview? I don't know what to respond with!
 
Have rejection emails been sent out yet?

And were all the invited sent out this morning? (I assume so)

Have some friends still waiting... they haven't heard anything.
