Likewise, this is so epic! I just rescheduled all my exams with my professors 2 weeks ago to the 25th....now I need to talk to them again. LOL.
 
After interviewing, do they give you a decision in 3 weeks no matter what: whether you're accepted, denied or waitlisted? And what is the time frame to accept your offer?
 
my interview got rescheduled to the 25th that was originally tomorrow. 🙁 does anyone know if there are any other interviews scheduled for the 11th or 18th? 😱

So far they have only sent out 2 interview dates I think. But I was thinking the same, with this later interview will this be a disadvantage? Since UH is a rolling admission right?

Not sure about the 11th but I have an interview scheduled for Friday the 18th.

They said we would get the result in 4 to 6 weeks. Call them after 6 weeks if we didn't here from them.
Based on the info posted on SDN, an acceptance would come in email within 3 weeks before the official snail mail. Rejections come in snail mails only.

IIRC, you have 2 weeks to accept the acceptance offer.
 
I got an interview invite today for March 4th.
 
I'm a little frustrated that I have have had the majority of my application documents submitted for almost a month now except one LOR! I seem not to be having much luck with these LORs being turned in on time. When I submitted my app, I immediately told my recommenders that it was done and UH just needs their LORs. I sure would like the opportunity to interview at UH!!

Yeah that can be frustrating. I got my recommenders to get the letters done on time subconsciously by bringing them Thank you letters and a $5 starbucks gift card as a thank you gift. It really got the ball rolling! 😉
 
Hello,

I received UH's invitation today for Feb 25th as well however I have another interview with A&M on the 24th. I sent an email asking if I could reschedule the date and I don't even know if that's possible or not. Anyone else with that situation? 😵

My application is not yet complete, missing LOR from the pharmacist, and I still get invited?! I'm told to bring it on the interview day...

The administrators know how much of an inconvenience it is for students to have to reschedule all of their classes and flights and such. But all classes were canceled today (not just at the College of Pharmacy but the University of Houston in general) and all major highways were blocked off. I couldn't even get to the hospital for my rotation. So there was no way around it. They had to reschedule. I'm sure your professors will understand 🙂

Don't worry about the date of your interview. I think applicants focus too much on this and they need not to. What's most important is preparing for your interview so that you put your best foot forward the day of. You guys already have enough stress with classes, work, family, extracurricular activities, etc. Don't get bogged down on things that don't matter. Relax and focus on doing the best with the opportunity you were given 🙂

I was not criticizing the cancellation of the interview. It was an epic moment for me because I have to go talk to all my professors and manager again.

I have my other interview on the 17th and UoH on 18th. I'm still going to attend both...is this a bad idea?
 
Where is your other interview? If it is a drivable distance and you think you can handle it then I say go for it.

My UT Austin interview is on Saturday, Feb 26, the morning after my rescheduled UH interview. I'm just going to drive to Austin after my Houston interview either on Friday late afternoon or early Saturday morning.

Oh no I didn't mean to infer that you were criticizing it. I'm sorry if my message relayed such a tone. I was simply providing some information about why the interviews had to be moved and about what was going on in Houston. I hope you are able to work things out with your professors and employer.

Definitely go for it. Just be sure to get plenty of rest in between and you should be fine. The UH interview isn't stressful and we current students try our best to make all the applicants feel at home so you'll be fine 🙂

I'm not sure if you currently reside in Texas but if you're going to your Kingsville interview by car, it's about a 4.5 hour drive from Kingsville to Houston. So you should have plenty of time to make it here for your interview. Just be sure adhere to the speed limit because there are a lot of state troopers on the side of the road clockin people from what I recall.
 
If anyone has been accepted to this school, please let me know so you can be added to the roll call for 2014/2015. Please post in the sticky thread or PM me your acceptances and the program you will be attending (if accepted to multiple schools).🙂
 
After emailing that you are accepting the interview date/time offer, do they typically respond back saying they've received your confirmation?

I appreciate your help!
 
I wonder how much detail I shoul go about the interview questionnaire. I may write a full esaay with some quesiton prompts. Would it be fine with one or two paragraphs for each quesiton?

I did not understand why the applicaiton was so short. Now I can see why 😉

I did not get any response back. They did not say any deadline about our acceptance("immediately" means how soon?) We have to submit other documents, so I will submit them before the deadline which is one week elarier than my interview date.

I'm wondering about this as well. To those who have completed the interview questionnnaire, how long were your answers?

With a total of 15 questions, I would think an essay response would be a bit excessive.

My questionnaire document was 4-5 pages long. Don't be excessive, however, answer the questions with enough details to let them know who you are. According to my 1-on-1 interviewer, a faculty member, interviewers do not know your grade, PCAT scores. They only have an idea of who you are based on the questionnaire and the essay.

so far, 4 pages long. I answered in 100-200 words each.

Are these graded as part of interview?

I know...but I think it worth your time and effort...
I heard about some people with great gpa and pcat but failed the interview.

Let's not be discouraged though...opportunities are good any way 😉
 
Does anyone know the total number of interview dates and how many are left?
When's the latest someone would have to wait to get an invite?
 
I also interviewed on the 28th...I've been checking my email a whole lot!!! Hopefully this week we will know something :xf:
 
Gosh... It's been 17 days since the interview... I haven't heard anything yet... I'm going crazy... Anyone heard anything back???

By the way, does anyone have any parking suggestions, I heard it was a big issue, and was wondering if I should just take a cab instead of driving.

Park at the visitors parking. There is a shuttle to the building every 15 min. Parking will only cost you 2 $
 
Are interviews being held every fridays? Is the class of 2015 full already? For people who are interviewing would you mind sharing your stats?

Uh... I interviewed with UofH on Jan 28, and I have not heard anything back yet... I keep checking back to this forum and no one seems to get any acceptance letter yet... so... I hope the class is not full yet...

I wouldnt be worried about the class being full because UH only had 1 interview day so far. The 2nd interview would be tomorrow. I'm just worried about being accepted or not.

I guess the reason the school did not send acceptance letters out yet is because they consider other schools' schedule. Even though U of H goes by rolling admission, their interview dates are around other schools' dates.

You don't have to worry about it yet. You prepared way earlier than others and were invited for the interview. I hope you have a good news.

I am in Houston now for tomorrow's interview. I badly want to move down here for next semester. Please wish me luck! :xf:

what does it mean if your entire app on U of H's site says not recieved even tho you sent every shread of paper and the check cleared im kinda scared right now

It means that you need to talk to them and ask them why it is not updated. Take a Spring transcript and official fall transcript with you.
