Did anyone receive a message from Morgan Ely regarding "missing credentials"? I received one back in December, but the only thing I was missing was my Fall 2010 Transcript---now that Lingeling said she got her interview even without her file showing Fall 2010 Transcript I'm a bit confused as to why they would send an e-mail about that--especially because when the e-mail was sent, the Fall 2010 semester wasn't even over.

The first pharmacist LOR that was sent by the recommender back in october was never received. A couple of days ago, I send it again via certified mail, but the post office messed up and I can't use the tracking number to confirm delivery. I have the worst luck...🙁

Mine was updated pretty quickly, but I would assume around this time they are probably busier in the office and may take up to a week?

How long after you submitted you application fee did they send you that email?

I feel the same wayy!! I submitted mine end of october and they received my LOR early december. And i still havent heard from them.
But i don't think they send out rejections. In fact they don't send you anything.
 
Actually I know a friend who got a rejection letter from UH and a friend who got rejected w/o any rejection letter...
It all depends on your stats... As far as I know UH is notorious for not sending anything to those with really bad stats... But then again I Might be wrong... But I think you guy should not loose hope yet, maybe they will send more invites...

There will definitely be more invites. They interview until May and invites are usually sent a month before each interview date. Plus the application deadline hasn't even passed. So far it seems like they have only sent out invites for two interview dates.
 
I have an interview on the 28th. I got my interview notice a few days after I sent everything in. I still need to complete that questionnaire though..gosh
 
Has anyone received any invites from UH recently? My documentation status still shows that they are missing a letter of recommendation for me but my manager said she sent it out over 2 weeks ago. I'm wondering if they're just really backed up to update it or if it's really not there.
 
The updated my fall2010 missing transcrip after i had sent them 2 weeks ago.. Give them some time or you can email ms nora and ask

Well i resent one of my recommendations last Tuesday and yesterday my status showed that it was received. So two weeks seems too long...

My application was complete as of 2 days ago. May I ask when exactly you received your interview notice? Also, does the school send interview invites out via email? Thanks.

I hope I'm not being rude by answering....but I submitted my application in late October and everything LORs and transcripts were completed in early December and I got my interview last week via email. I hope it helps.

I honestly don't remember when I completed my application. I was just in a rush because I thought I was super late (esp for tech).

But according to the website, I completed my application on 12/2/10 and I sent them everything (including final Fall 2010 transcript) I want to say a week later. I received my interview invitation on 12/21/10 via email.
 
Also, if it makes a difference, I collected everything myself and emailed it in one giant packet for them to make sure they received everything at once.

They do rolling applications, right?
 
Does anyone know how soon after an interview UH lets you know whether or not you're accepted and how long you have to make the decision?
 
For people who are doing interviews, would you mind sharing your stats? UH is a high school on my list and I am dying to that get invitation😕

My stats will be different from others as I have an undergraduate degree from UT Austin, have worked the past several years, and am changing careers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.9+
Math/Science GPA: ~3.9
Grad School GPA: 4.0
PCAT Score: 77
Pharmacy Experience: 6+ years.
LORs: Clinical Pharmacist, another Pharmacist/former manager, and one from an executive in the health system I work for who was also my professor in grad school. All co-workers of mine and wrote very strong LORs.
Non-pharmacy work and/or volunteer experience - Vice President in the Pre-Pharmacy club, member of APhA-ASP. Many volunteer experiences from the past.
 
How many "rounds" of interviews does UH have? I know they do rolling admissions but most Texas schools have specific interview dates. When are the last interview dates?

I know there are at least 6 interview dates and only 2 invites have gone out to my knowledge---I would say this coming Friday might be a good time to start checking the inbox again--but just an assumption

I turned in everything completed in a big yellow envelope to UH by Oct 15th. I walked to S&R2 and handed everything into them in person (LOR, fee, application, forms,everything). this had everything besides the fall 2010 transcript. the status was updated on my application profile by the following monday. I submitted my fall transcript the week after school ended for break, and received my interview invitation for Feb. 4th, on Jan 13. Hope this helps! good luck to all!

No UH doesnt actually have a writing exercise during the interview...but they do look at the pcat writing section and the pre-interview questionaire to analyze your writing ability!

Anyone know why we need access to our email accounts during the interview process? The email seemed very cryptic...

Could you clarify what you are stating? Was this a part of the email inviting you to the interview? or was this at the the actual interview day?

This was just a separate email sent out today to those interviewing this Friday saying that we will need to access our emails once we get to the interview so we should know our password and stuff for it.

I was actually wondering why we're doing that as well..sounds a bit weird.
 
same here! As i was looking at the preinterview questions i actually thought of better answers than the ones i've sumbitted to them..but now i dont know if it would be a good idea to say something different in the interview from whats on that paper

The email is required for one session of your interview which will be a personality assessment done on the computer. The link to access it is sent to your email..!!

Do not be nervous at all, be calm and be yourself. GOOD LUCK for tomorrow!

Thanks! It really helps! I wondered why I did not get anything yet and now I can see why. You will be fine. You did everything way early...Good luck with your interview! :xf:

I think it went well for me. I liked how they got current pharmacy students to sit and talk to you so you didn't have much free time to get nervous. It was really nice of the current students to come out voluntary even some of them had lab or something at 11:30am. Thank you, guys and gals 🙂
 
For everyone worrying about not hearing from UH yet...I know it's hard to relax right now, but try to! When I was applying I sent my stuff in December/January, didn't interview until March, and was accepted about 3 weeks later. I know you want an answer now, but rest assured there are plenty of interview dates throughout the semester and not getting one of the first interview spots does not mean you won't have a fair chance at acceptance.

I am a re-applicant. I applied last year, did my interview in April and was told the class was already full. I was denied but other people were just placed on waitlist and then later denied

I got a phone call and e-mail tonight stating that our Friday, Feb 4 interviews will be rescheduled to Friday, Feb 25 due to inclement weather. This makes rebooking flights fun!
