They will be chasing for awhile 😉. Great news for Minnesota!

Also regarding some previous comments, usually all pharmacy schools will "over-admit." Minnesota typically will receive more applications than other pharmacy schools and many from outside the area because there is no preference on instate students and is the program is well reputable. Also the waitlist is low as of now.

Finally no worries.....they didn't record your interview 🙂. Best of luck to you all and message with any questions! Hope all is well!

Bowler, Thanks for checking in and responding to the speculations! I'm a little relieved they didn't record my interview. Hah. I was very surprised that the interviewer was not taking notes throughout. By chance, did you stop and talk to Sara and the student ambassadors while they waited to depart on the tours (it would have been the 2/24 interview)?

Haha that was me! My name doesn't keep my identity much of a secret 🙂 I'm on my elective academia rotation at the university which is why I'm still on campus as a 4th year! I wish I would have been able to provide you with the tour! Best of luck and keep us posted how it goes.

Also, I noticed previous questions about the remaining amount of seats that was given in the packets of those who interviewed on the 9th. I overheard some students saying there were 18 spots remaining between the two campuses. Hope this helps!

I had a hunch that it was you! Haha. Thanks and I'll surely keep everyone posted.

Badger pharm, you interviewed on the 24th? Morning or afternoon? I was there the 24th also in the morning.

Is there a written portion to the interview at the U of M?

If you select no campus preference, do you still get to write that you'd prefer Twin Cities? At this point, I'm just anxious to get in, having already taken time off of school (and taking 5 years for an undergrad degree). I'd rather not go to Duluth, but if the alternative is not being admitted, I'll take it.

There are three options: Accept an offer only from Duluth, Accept an offer only from TC, and Accept an offer from either campus. Under the third option there are three more options: no campus preference, prefer Duluth, and finally prefer TC.

There is no written portion. You only have to impress them during the (supposedly) 40-minute one-on-one interview.

Badger: best of luck to you! Our odds are lookin' pretty rough...
Did you pick a campus or are you "no preference?"

Thanks, right back at you! I did the accept either, prefer TC option. How about you?

Our odds aren't looking the greatest, but better than those who are interviewing in March!

I'm in the same boat as you two as well... I interviewed in the afternoon on 2/24, but I selected twin cities only. Two more weeks! I'm trying to stay focused on the positive aspects of the admission statistics... They've traditionally accepted 200+ applicants because some turn them down, and they still had 100 interviews to do after ours... I'll be crossing my fingers for two more weeks and let you know how it turns out!

Good luck! I believe all the numbers given so far are for acceptances sent out and not necessarily committed decisions. At least that's what I'm guessing, because the latest decisions went out a week before the March 9th interview. I think it's usually 2 weeks to give a response...someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I know that's right! I picked TC only since I am really anchored to this area. This was also the only school to which I applied, so my chances of beginning a program in fall is pretty slim!

That said, I am a firm believer that what's meant to be will be...or so I tell myself anyway. 😉

approximately 10 days...the suspense and anticipation is killer!

I KNOW!!! I keep checking my email thinking they may respond sooner... 🙄
But, hey, at least now we're counting days instead of weeks!
I check my email quite often on my phone and every time I see a new message load I get excited even though I know full well that it's not an admissions decision. Oh well...the days remaining will be moving into single digits!

Ugh. So cruel! The school sent me an email (I am on their "list") about an upcoming preview day....but when I saw the sender was the C.o.P., my heart stopped for 1.2 seconds. How disappointing!

Lol I saw that email and had the same reaction as you too! I gasped out loud then realized that it wasn't the right email

I'm glad I'm not on that list! I was totally expecting someone to hear back today. Glad you are all on the same page as me!

It makes it worse knowing that Minnesota usually sends out the emails a few days earlier than the allotted date. So it really can be any day now. :scared:

It's 3/24, I applied like back in Sept I think. I haven't been invited for an interview, and I haven't been told anything such as wait list or rejection. Is this the case for anyone else?

You should definitely call Sara Lofstrom or Stacy Tomhave at the school and inquire about the status of your application. They're really nice and helpful. Most schools don't send out rejections until way later (Mid April) and most schools don't put you on a waitlist unless you've been interviewed.

At least it's the weekend...not only a chance to escape the daily grind, but also a time to not have to worry over receiving a response.

Does any one have the stats from the interview on Friday [3/24]?

anyone from 2/24 interview got in to Duluth yet?

Congrats everyone! It's exciting to see the class grow!

Thanks! I feel as if a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders! Can't wait to get up to the Twin Cities!

Hey Minnecation, when did you interview? I haven't gotten an email yet & am starting to feel anxious 🙁

I interviewed on March 9 and have yet to hear back! Did anyone else interview on this day and hear back?

Congrats everyone!! Gl to those who are still waiting to hear back!:xf:

Haha! You sound like me a few weeks ago! We all interviewed on Feb 24th. We were estimated to hear back on March 30th, but it was early...if that helps at all.

Is there anyone here going to Duluth? Is there anyone attending Duluth that's coming from NY?

Hi all,
I interviews on 3/23 in Duluth, I think I was one of the last to the party. We were told to expect an answer by April 23rd. Congrats and good luck to all the rest of you.🙂
