No of course not. I was paraphrasing . I've heard their class is full a few weeks ago though.

For those of you that were wait listed at Pitt, were you accepted at other schools also?
Also, what are your plans for the future? reapply, retake DAT, choose another career path...
I'm sitting here thinking about all these things, since dental school has always been my goal, but I dont know what to do now.

I totally get what you mean I haven’t been accepted anywhere yet, only waitlisted at 2 schools and this is already my second time applying. I really don’t want to apply for a third time but I have absolutely no backup plan with my bachelors degree in biology. My plan right now is to work full time as a dental assistant if I don’t get in but I don’t even have a dental assistant job yet. I don’t have it in me to retake the DAT

I'm 100% in the same situation as you . I dont want to retake the DAT foresure! this is my second time applying and taking DAT, and now I dont know what to do. I have everything that they are looking for, except for an awesome DAT score. I wish we could all just get accepted somewhere, because the competition to get in these schools are just insane!

I feel like this cycle with online interviews, covid, and everything else was just so bad. Especially if you applied late like I did you had all odds stacked against you

I spoke on the phone with Jerry on Friday and he said obviously the class is full right now but anything can happen. He said in past years, they’ve had around 23-25 people drop and then they pick from the waitlist. This year he said they’ve had less than half the waitlist movement that they normally see, but he still said anything could happen between now and August. Stay positive that someone will drop!
