i remember he said "a tiny little bit" only haha... last year, they interviewed 150 people, and they accepted 55 if I remember correctly.

mr. granderson said that the result would be out in 2 to 3 weeks after the interview. it's been 2 weeks, so we could potentially know by the end of this coming week!!!

i also remember someone in our group asked him if whether we would get our result via snail mail or email. he said that the results would be sent via email.

i'm excitedly nervous 🙂

someone in our interview group actually asked him how long after the decision had been made would we find out. he said something like 1 minute. he continued on saying that it would be sent via email.

i am not so sure anymore. maybe i misheard him, or maybe he said 2 -3 weeks only to my group. that means more wait time. grrr...

hey guys, I was looking on USC's site and it says they wanted 3 quarters of english composition.
and this:

English composition and communications courses are only required for applicants who do not have a bachelor's degree from a U.S. university.

so if I have a Bachelor's by the time I enter pharmacy school I don't need to have 3 quarters of english? (I currently only have 2 quarters since my school counted an AP score for the 3rd quarter of english)

Yes, you won't need the 3 quarters of English if you have a bachelors by the time you enter the program. Here are some course equivalencies too if you are not sure.

According to that I only needed 2 quarters of English from my college to fulfill the requirement though 👍.

Last year Jim told us "4-6 weeks closer to 6" and they were sent mid 4th week.

I went back to last year’s threads. Here are the interview dates and the dates that the acceptance letters/active consideration emails were received.



The acceptance letters were sent via snail mail last year. This year, however, when someone in our interview group asked Mr. Granderson, he said that the acceptance letters would also be sent digitally via email. But I am not so sure anymore lol…


Interviewed on 11/21/09 got the letter/email on 12/18/09 4 weeks (thanksgiving day was 11/26/09)
Interviewed on 01/23/10 got the letter/email on 02/12/10 3 weeks
Interviewed on 02/20/10 got the letter/email on 03/13/10 3 weeks
Interviewed on 03/20/10 got the letter/email on 04/08/10 2.5 weeks


These are the acceptance/interview ratios from the class of 2014.


Nov interview: 55/144
Jan: 40/100
Feb: 40/100
Mar: 45/100 (those 45 are people from March’s interview + Active Consideration people from Nov, Jan and Feb)

I just called the admission office.

People who are accepted should be receiving a large envelope sometime next week because the mail will be sent out this afternoon.

Those who are on the active consideration list should receive an email on Monday.

I guess the tradition has not changed!!!

Both my science and cumulative GPA are around 3.8

However, someone from last year got in with a cumulative GPA of 3.26 and a science GPA of 3.35, so if you are invited for an interview, you could be accepted with any GPA.

If you guys are worrying about how hard school is going to be.. I wouldn't stress too much yet, but it might depend on the person. I came from UCSD and I actually find the classes here easier than undergrad, but I also know some people in my class that are really struggling.

If you guys have any questions feel free to ask.(I might not respond right away. 5 finals = major study time.)
