Congratulations to all those who were accepted! 🙂 Seeing as how I live a couple of minutes from USC and I didn't get anything I'm assuming I'll receive an email tomorrow. But I've decided not to get too disappointed. Hopefully I can get accepted later 🙄

I'm a first year. So I'm going through the same as you. Pharm, Bio Sys, and HCD has been my life this past weekend 😀

So has anyone gotten the email yet? I haven't heard anything either way as of today...but I'm also in Arizona so the mail would take longer.
 
I haven't heard anything through mail or email yet. I'm from NorCal. When are they sending the email?
 
They're suppose to send the e-mail today. I haven't gotten anything either. And I won't be able to check my mailbox until later tonight!
 
I haven't heard anything either. I'm in SD, so hopefully if I get in, the package will get here today. I've checked the mail twice already...
 
I couldn't wait, so I juz called the admission. They said they have not sent out the emails yet..🙁 Hopefully we won't be receiving emails....

Hi all! I went to the Nov. 13 interview session as well and I just came upon this forum while waiting anxiously to see if I would be getting an email or a snail mail.

Congratulations to those who have received their letters! Let's hope everyone else will also get a letter! :xf:

I'm guessing they want to time the emails to later in the afternoon when the snail mails arrive so that everyone (well almost everyone) will receive a response at about the same time? I figured thats why they mailed the letters Friday afternoon (knowing most people from CA at least would get the mail around Monday which is when they are sending out the email). In any case, good luck to the rest of us who are still waiting! :xf::xf::xf:

From what I've gathered from this forum, they send out the rejection (or active consideration) letters by email and they send acceptance letters by snail mail.
 
Just got the AC email.

150 applicants have been interviewed. 50 have been accepted and 100 have been placed on active consideration.

Seems like the odds are slightly higher for later interviewees since USC seems to accept 40 out of 100 for the later interviews.

Doh~ should've applied later. 😛
 
Hm.. well I have not gotten the AC email yet. BUT I also did not get the yellow packet in the mail yet but I got my regular mail for the day (I live about 30 minutes away from USC). I don't know what's going on since I haven't received either, but I think I'll assume the worse for now. Hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst :xf: Good luck again, all!

Haven't gotten an email from USC yet. I live in Northern California and didn't get anything in the mail today either 🙁. I'm wondering whether the emails were one big batch or if they're slowly trickling out, and I'm about to get one...

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering as well. We're in the same boat in terms of not yet receiving either of the letters...

Thanks! I hate being in Limbo.. Like I said, I live literally 25 minutes away from USC but no snail mail letter... and no AC email either... lol... I think I would rather know (one way or the other) than keep waiting in anticipation since a lot of other people already know...

For those who didn't make it this round, try not to be too down! There's still time! And you made it to the first interview session too, which I heard has the highest chance of getting in from the list (according to the students there).
 
Are you going to give the admissions office a call Infern0?
 
I think the website says they won't give out any information regarding individual acceptances/AC over the phone.

I wonder if all the ac e-mails were sent today... I thought the letters should be able to arrive in SD today, but no one I know from SD has gotten one.

I didn't receive an email or snail mail, I'm from south OC.
Here's to hoping that a busy Christmas season clogged the post office :xf:

I really hope so too! I'm just hoping that all the ac e-mails that are supposed to be sent were sent already.
 
Yeah... this is really weird.. You would think they would send out all 100 AC emails at the same time... I don't understand why they wouldn't do that. It's understandable that the snail mail would take longer to arrive but email is almost instant lol.. I'm left in a state of confusion regarding my status 😕

If I haven't received any indication that I have/may receive an interview, am I out of luck at this point? I haven't received a rejection email or anything, and the last email I received was November 18th telling me the classes I'm missing for their pre-reqs (which I am either currently taking or taking in the Spring, though this is all indicated on my PharmCAS).

The email before that was the "Checklist Report" on November 8th informing me that my application packet was complete.

Thoughts? Did I just miss the first round? Maybe there is still hope left in the world? 😕
 
Well the next interview is sometime in January I think, and they notify you 1-3 weeks (or something like that) before the interview if they're going to invite you. Given that you received your lack letter after the first interview date, I'm going to assume you were too late to be considered for that one. I'd say you definitely have a chance of hearing from USC within the next few weeks. However, I'm just a fellow applicant, so don't take my word for this.

I think that's right. The next interview date is Jan. 22, and they say they will notify you about 3 weeks in advance so people will probably be hearing back the first week of Jan.
 
Why would they send AC e-mail's on different days... get people's hopes up..

AC Stands for Active Consideration.

USC does not reject, hold, or put people on the wait list. So all applicants who have been interviewed are actively considered until the class is full.
