I did not apply to Sydney, I was just looking through random threads and saw this and thought I would do some digging. This thread is from 2017, but I feel it could possibly give you some good ideas of how to pursue it. University of Sydney Veterinary School- International Student

It is odd they require a whole semester upfront unless you are entering next semester. There is a universal time in April when no school can make you decide till that date, so if you are entering next fall, I am not sure if they can make you do this. I would just try to reach out to someone and just see what the school says.

AUS schools start in February due to the flipped school system/seasons. the April deadline does not apply

thank you for this. im going to look into that! the semester starts in feb but i still have to gather the money to even apply for my student visa now, so most likely will have to defer due to delayed visa. still, this much money up front in 10 days????

I see what was said in the 2017 thread about them reducing the deposit if you are paying tuition via student loans—that makes a lot more sense! Student loans must work differently for AUS students so that they would have that money up-front. Still, it makes it tough that the timeline for acceptance is so different from US schools.

Someone else on another thread or forum said that you can just leave a 1 or 2k deposit, if you reach out to the school they can guide you.

Same. Most threads say they heard nothing until acceptance or rejection by February.

I emailed international financial aid and I said I was using FAFSA towards the offer so they resent me another updated offer letter with a lower fee!

Hello! I have a very stupid question. I just got the emails for the welcome week and introduction. However, the email with the title "Important Information for DVM1 2025" they mentioned in the email about the DVM Induction Booklet, where can I find this??
