I'm not sure about you early interviewees, but for those of us who were interviewed on the 24th/25th I was told that we would hear from UT during the third week in April (this is from my interviewer, Dr. Lawson).

Yeah I dont know when I'll hear from them... cuz not only did i interview in Feb, I interviewed again in March... oh well!

He recently contacted me and told me to post this message offering his further best wishes to all his future classmates. He is confident that as soon as UT removes their head from their bum, you will all be free to send them strongly worded rejection letters at your leisure.

If you didn't hear yet from the February interviews, that means you didn't make the cut for the first round of acceptances. Successful applicants in the first round heard of their acceptances already (2 weeks after). But not to fear! You'll be placed with the next pile of applicants....this means though that you won't hear of your acceptance/rejection until the end of May.....

March interviewees, you should hear in the next 2 weeks...if not, then you didn't make that cut and will hear at the end of May after the 3rd round in April.

Hope this clears some stuff up.

So if the feb interviewers are put in the next pile of applicants, is there any way that we could hear back when the second rounds hears back? Sorry- being super anxious...june is a long time to wait 🙁 Thanks for the info DrPharm, how do you like UT?

The +ve side: U r already in UH ... so at least u r set!

The only thing i worry about with UT's late response is how it will affect our Financial aid package... I was pretty early in filling out my FAFSA... but it's useless until I get accepted at UT! I'm hoping to get subsidized loans, and this wait is ruining my chances 🙁

i always check my email multiple times a day... but for UT i just feel like the email (if it comes) will be in the morning... by 10 am! So if i dont get anything by noon, i dont expect to hear anything at all that day!

I believe that they will be sending out invitations for last rounds of interviews very soon. The next and last rounds of interviews will be held on Saturday, Apr 22nd, and Monday, Apr 24th.

And for those who interviewed 1st and 2nd rounds, they will be sending out more acceptances very soon i believe.

im in that situation also...but im a reapplicant so i have no idea what they have planned for me! i tried calling them to see if they can tell me at least whether i have to re-interview this year or not but the lady said to just wait and see......she said they were still reviewing lots of applications. hopefully it will be worth the wait!!!!!!

I have been checking my e-mail exactly 4 times every day. I do this because I am a robot and this is what I have been programmed to do.

I am not sure what I am checking the e-mails for, however. They haven't bothered to program me for that yet.

I'm from Georgia and I interviewed on March 24. I got my invitation only 2 weeks prior to that day so I had to use mileage for my ticket because the fare was close to a whopping $1,000! Hope this helps.

Although I've mentioned this before, I'll say it again. The faculty member with whom I interviewed (Dr. Lawson), said that notices for those who interviewed on the 24th and 25th would be out during the third week of April.

there are talking about when UT is going to send out letters for the next round of interviews not acceptance letters from the last round! 🙂

speaking of acceptance letters i dont think that i am going to make it to the 3rd week of april (even though it is next week)-i am checking my email WAY to often to keep this up. 😀

I wonder if the pharm school notifies other parts of the school first such as the Health Center, dorms, and admin people, letting them know so that they could get the info out to us...Eh, probably not, hahahaha.

oh awesome... U r def. In! I think somehow the school got behind in notifying u... I'm pretty sure, only after they accept u will they send the UT health center anything... either a) school got behind in e-mailing or b) UT health center didnt wait long enough.

Also, keep in mind that if you are a transfer student, then UT office of undergraduate admissions will send that letter to you upon acceptance to their undergraduate program. I got that letter when I transferred here as an undergrad. Just thought you should keep that in mind...

I recall that1guy saying that he got something in the mail --- i think e-mail from UT Austin of his acceptance into UT Main... but maybe that was before the interview... not too sure.

To me --- it really does sound like u got in. Doesnt make sense to send UT-health stuff. Who knows? I sure hope u got in though 🙂

For UT, you get admitted in the University and then to the College of Pharmacy. I believe at this point, you are admitted into the "University", not necesarily the College of Pharmacy which is its seperate entity with in the university. And after being admitted into the University, they will notify the UT health center (UHS) and other departments.

But dont worry! you will here from the college of pharmacy soon! 👍

With all this stress, drinks at sixth street sounds great 🙂 Are you still in Austin, PharmEm? I miss it so much..🙁 When they played that video the pharm students made for us at the interview (the one that gave you a headache..)..I actually started tearing up.. 🙁 haha i know i'm lame!
