IAtoTX, are you out of state (Iowa?)? Anyone else out there accepted from out of state? They don't seem to take many nonresidents so I am a bit scared about my chances.

I got my acceptance email today too. However, I think I will decline. I'm incredibly sad that I do not attend UT, but I've chosen Houston COP due to family. Good luck to whoever gets my spot 😍 BTW, I interviewed in March and had a very great interview.

Originally, yes, I'm from Iowa...but I've been in TX for at least 3 years now, so I'm a resident.

So really, is their like no one besides that1guy and Vicky from the feb. interviewees that heard back from UT?? No acceptance, no rejections, nothing?? So weird just 2 people from this forum! And now 3 more from the March round of interviewees... I wonder if the majority of seats are already filled, or will that take place after the 3rd round acceptances are sent out? 😕

It's just too weird to me that only about 5 people have posted their UT acceptance status... I was expecting a lot more!

Well, may is almost here... Just cant wait to find out!

I'm hoping that only 5 people got accepted, more of a chance for the rest of us! But in reality, they'll accept around 140 and I bet they have at least half right now, and after the april interviews, they'll have 30 more, leaving 40 seats left and taking 15 or so from each interview section, Feb, March, and April, that's my opinion.

But in reality, they'll accept around 140 and I bet they have at least half right now, and after the april interviews, they'll have 30 more, leaving 40 seats left and taking 15 or so from each interview section, Feb, March, and April, that's my opinion.

A person I know got accepted last week with the March people and she interviewed with me in February!!! I know about 3 other people that got accepted from the March interview session. All good, deserving people it's just that I want to be one of them!

Well, I sure hope u hear good news from Austin, although, I'm the same way... getting more used to the idea of being in Houston. The saddest thing is thats where I originally wanted to go, i mean, i wasnt too sure Austin or Houston. But now, I think I'm pretty sure Austin's my #1 choice... But either way I think both would be great.

My parents, well mainly my mom & my sis, really want me to go to UT Austin... mainly cuz its closer to home (dallas) and the experience you get from going to school like "UT Austin". Houston, I think from what I've heard, doesnt give u that feel...

But both are AWESOME schools. One of my friends at Houston said, unlike Austin, Houston doesnt really help you with tutuors and such when you are not doing that well in your classes. If you fail 1 class, u r a year behind, and if u fail 2, you are kicked out of the program. She did her pre-pharm at UT, but didnt get in for pharmacy school - so shes at UH.

The prof. that interviewed me was the coordinator for internship programs. He said they assign you areas based on your preference and the area u want to go in (usually your top 2 choices). I want to do clinical pharmacy as well, and probably pediatric - oncology. For me --- he said Dallas and San Antonio would be the ones.

I dont know how hard it will be to get the area of your choice. One of my friends niece goes there, and she wanted to come to Dallas but was given Houston.

So I guess we'll just have to wait and see depending on your class --- which area will be easier to get.

My worry is the financial aid! I dont know if this delay would put me way behind for UT's financial aid...

Anyhow, just a month more maybe...

i paid mine after i got my acceptance to the pharmacy school. i think that it would go to the 1st tuition statement.
