no no, I don't have any special access lol 😛 And as yazahra mentioned, you can find all the time-tables on Waterloo's own website.

btw - if those who have applied to UofT get in there, would you choose it over waterloo and why?

As much as I'm excited to find out about interviews, I also am dreading the start of exams, so I'm not very happy right now 🙁

If I get into UofT i think I would choose it over waterloo. I say this primarily because I've lived away from home for undergrad, and I think it would be nice to be at home (or at least close to home) this time around.

Also comparing the two curriculums, I'm actually more excited by UofT's new curriculum than waterloo's.

Another reason is that I want to keep my job at least part time, and being in Toronto will allow me to do this.

Also, after attending the interview at UofT and talking to some of the 1st years, I'm extremely excited about UofT. Although this is bias, because I know nothing about waterloo.

Both are great schools though and if I were fortunate enough to get into either, I would be ecstatic.

UofT is downtown and near like 3 major hospitals = more residency spots and hospital connections/rotation spots

UofT is more likely to get pharmD than Waterloo in the next 4 years...I think Waterloo is not even accredited for B.pharm yet (not sure)

Waaaaay longer school history = more alumni = more connections in the real world

Downtown Toronto has more opportunities than Waterloo in general (i.e. research)

Advantge: Waterloo has coop so you come out with less debt

yeah, i totally understand, but one of the reasons I want waterloo is to get out for a bit. I've been in Toronto for like 90% of my life - i want a new environment.. like u get to really feel like ur starting fresh when you're in a new area

and boy, I can't believe that ONE full year has gone by this fast, and that day is finally here 🙂

UofT interview was quite alright, I'm just praying to God that they liked my answers :xf:

i'm sure you're in - trust me; and when you become one successful pharmacist, and manage your own pharmacy, reserve a volunteer spot for me, I might need a reference letter for my 340th application to waterloo lol

honestly, it feels like ages ago that i actually slept.. i've been cramming for exams, sleeping at ~ 1am and waking up at ~ 6am to study at york 👎

i think i'll be up all night Wednesday night praying lol

lol, hell no, I'll save a managerial spot for you cause by then you'll be my successful colleague 😛

And I've been in the EXACT same boat as you, going to be late and waking up early to go to library... it's hectic but thinking that i'll be done with general sciences make me push through the pain 🙂

Yes, this is my first time.

My stats are okay. my GPA is 9.0 / 10

I have worked in a pharmacy for about a year

Couple of EC's; volunteering at the hospital, sports, etc

Good LOR from my pharmacist

All courses will be completed by the end of this term

this is actually my second time
my gpa is around ~82% (on the 9.0 scale, it's a little over 8.0)
lots of pharm experience, ecs, etc and a lor from a pharmacist as well

yeah whether you are denied an interview or you are granted one, you will get an email tmrw and a letter that will follow in the mail

i called Louise today and she said there were over 500 applications for this year and she also clarified that they calculate two averages: 1) your overall GPA (has to be above 75%) and 2) your prerequisite GPA (also has to be above 75%)

ps im starting to think that the real determinant of interviews is the AP

so do you think individual marks in the pre-reqs are not taken into consideration?

i have a horrendous mark for calc II 🙁 and it haunts me 🙁🙁

i don't think they look at each mark individually, but the low mark will affect the prereq GPA - calculate it and see where you stand. i think a GPA of over 80% is safe. i was freaking out about my lowest mark too, but as long as everything else is good, it won't affect your GPA that much.
If your school gives out letter grades, use this to help you calculate a % grade:
A+ = 90
A = 85
A- = 81
B+ = 78
B = 75
B- = 71
C+ = 68
C = 65
C- = 61
D+ = 58
D = 55
D- = 51
E = 45
F = 40

this is just my take on it - plz correct me if im wrong

my organic final is tmrww you guys 🙁 wish me luck its worth 70% of my final grade!!

interesting.... so that means we have a ~ 50% chance of getting an interview and then 50% chance of getting accepted... not too bad 😉

good luck!!! i hate how organic finals tend to somehow fall in the very beginning of the exam period...it happened to me with organic I too....ugh...

i'm hoping my gpa will be ok :S pre-req gpa still stands around 80% despite that one mark and other bad ones from 1st year (incl bio, chem). which is why im REALLY counting on them not assessing individual marks and hoping they take into account improvement over the years.

I guess its not long before we know now!!! 🙂

I thought they used the midpoint of each grade range? i.e. A+ = 95%, A = 89%, etc.

that would be even better! but, i'm using these ranges just to be safe cuz these are the ranges that UofT uses.

no she didn't, but according to the site, ~240 applicants are interviewed

I feel kinda lucky that I have a TON of orgo to study tonight 😀 And this is the ONLY time I say studying orgo is "lucky"
