UofL Status

Be thankful for that status. I've been "under review" since Aug 22. I called today and they said that was correct! They also said to never check the "Application Status" page. Apparently it's just a waste of internet space and stress for applicants. 🙁 I am not happy with UofL at all.

My status was updated Friday, says Decision Notification Pending, and that a letter has been mailed.
I thought that it would actually SAY my decision on the status page today, but I called and they said that the only way to see my decision is through the mail. Apparently all letters were mailed on Friday. Sucks 🙁 I guess I'll have to wait.

Meh. Depends on how far away you live I suppose. The lady at the interview told us to expect a letter within 5 days after your status changed to "Notification Pending." If it takes longer than 5 days she said to call. Not sure if they'll tell you over the phone or just re-send the letter, but that's all I know.

It's also possible they didn't go out until today.
Mine has a category "Seat Deposit Recieved:" and I assume it changes to yes and no, has that always been there?

I called today. This time the lady told me letters were mailed out yesterday (last time I was told Friday). Again, she told me that no decisions would be given online or over the phone (lamest policy ever). I even tried to sneak my way into a decision by telling them that I was leaving the country soon and wanted to know my decision. She said "oh...well in that case, you'll have to talk with -- oops, she left for today already." Damn! Foiled again...

My bro interviewed there 10/4 and his status changed to "Notification Pending" today (yesterday maybe?). So I suppose they've gone through interviewers to that point at the 10/9 committee meeting. Later interviewers (like me!) will have to wait until at least the 10/23 committee meeting. 
gurldoc: your MDapps says you interview at UofL 11/6. I figure that's a typo since you're excited about getting a letter. Mind if I ask when you interviewed?

I interviewed on 9/13, and my update still says committee decisions pending, should I be worried?

I don't think you should be worried necessarily. My bro is kind of a stud for that school since he just finished a masters there at the end of July. People without his kind of in (again, like me) will have to wait a little longer I suppose.

So when they say you have to keep your GPA at an acceptable level... what exactly do you think this means?
Callaway- does your status say that you should be expecting a letter? If it does, you should definitely be getting one soon. If you haven't heard from them I wouldn't get too upset- just wait a little while! Good luck!

No, my status still says Committee Decision Pending, but at my interview, they said they would mail out the decisions on that monday (15th). So I assume that was true and my status just hasn't changed yet?

I would say you are wrong. If you have an acceptance in hand, and they say this, I believe this gives you a little wiggle room. I would say as long as you keep in at 3.0+ you should be fine. After all, overall GPAs shouldnt change too much this late into college.

think if we go to it we'll get an interview? i've got nothing to do that saturday. field trip.
it might show interest.. that's, of course, if they even take your name there.
I will be busy that day. now if they want to turn it into an interview, I might be able to find the time..
No word from UofL again, could my decision been lost? Or never mailed, since my status has not changed since my interview?

I think I got a mailer about this campus preview day too. It didn't look like anything specifically for the med school though. I figured the med school applicants all got put in a database of "potential students" just like high school students and this preview day is just for anyone interested. It didn't look like anything special, and I doubt it would have any real impact on your app. Though I suppose it will give you better insight into the campus if that's what you're looking for.
