About 1900 apply for 300 interview spots for a 138 size class
UOP is a clinically focused program
Things they look at (in order of importance) on an application are 1) Personal skills and experience, 2) DAT, 3)Grades
More emphasis on DAT than grades
They want you to have volunteered at least 40 hours in a dental office
Also, their program is pretty rigorous according to the people I talked to who's in their 1st and 2nd year. Remember they are cramming 4 years into 3 so you should expect alot of work. Also try to take an anatomy course before you go to UOP (if you do) b/c I was told that students who hadn't are at a disadvantage.
Hope this helps.
