UOP 2010 application

Hey I'm tier 3 and i just got a interview
Hello, Helen
I am in tier 3 too, but I haven't got any news yet. I am wondering when is the post day of your interview letter? do u submit your application in early tier 3 period?
Thanks!
I guess my question is does uop send out rejection letters this early or just put people on hold???
thanks guys!
Heart sounds!
Hey lub dub... UOP does send out reject letters, I know one person who got one... You and I are in the same boat as I got one of those HOLD letters without an invitation to interview... =( I mean, I guess we can be a little happy that it wasn't a flat-out rejection and still keep our hopes up as we wait for an interview from now until March. The stats showed that most of their interviews took place during tier 3 reviews, so maybe we've still got a chance!?! Good luck to you though! 🙂

Tesahelena, did you get a hold via snail mail? I haven't heard anything yet and emailed veronica, and she said that I'm in review. Where did you find the stats that says most interviews are during tier 3?
I want to see it so I can calm my nerves hahah. =]
shunpo- I did get my letter through snail mail... It was dated Nov 2nd... 🙁 I got the stats about the amount of interviews in tier 3 from the pharmacy open house day. I can't remember who said it but it was in their powerpoint presentation- stats from every tier. Basically they showed that by far the most applicants submitted during tier 3 and so, the most interviews were offered during that same tier. Where do you stand right now? Have you interviewed already? Ugh, I really hate how time passes and I still haven't gotten an interview invite... *sigh* maybe my other school will pull through... Good luck to you!

No interview yet, but no hold nor rejection either. I can't focus on school at all. I spend most of my time planning what I will do next year if I don't get into pharmacy.
I was deferred in tier 1 but then received a call yesterday for an interview. There is still hope guys!! Good Luck !!
Thanks! I sent a PM. Let me know if you didn't get it.
lub dub- I was thinking of sending in another LOR from my manager for the academic update so that I sent SOMETHING in, but I never did. I think if you have something, anything to update on your resume, you should send it in! It's like they'll get a chance to see your name again when that mail arrives which could only be a good thing!
shunpo- I feel you! I always do that... "If I don't get in to pharmacy school I guess I could just find a job that has to do with my degree..." But I don't want to do that! I hope we BOTH get in this year!

correct me if im wrong, but i dont think you can send in new LORs for the academic update. i think its only to fill in those "planned courses" with real grades and to put in your new planned schedule.
so in the end, you didnt really miss anything
Hey guys, I have an interview for UOP 1/22. Can anyone please give me some helpful advice, how to prepare, and what the day is going to be like? This may be my last chance this year to get into a CA school...so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
what is LOR?

Oh haha, thanks cheeseboy2! But what I meant is like sending in or emailing in another LOR, at the time of the academic update, which I believe you can do. Or at least I know you can send in an updated resume. Through pharmcas though, you are right, you cannot send any more LOR's. 😀
Just got home from the interview, it was overall a fun day! It was really organized, and the students and faculty were really friendly. Good luck everyone!

I wonder how long it will take until they let us know?!?!

so you can't send any LOR's after pharmcas is sent?? my pharmcas was sent a while ago and academic update sent at beginning of january. then i had a new LOR sent few days ago.
Honestly, prepharm, I think after you've already e-submitted your pharmcas, you can't add anymore LORs. During the academic update, you only update your grades and such... I could be wrong though. They do allow up to 4 LORs, so if you didn't have 4 maybe you can still add to it..? Does anyone else know if this is true/false?

Hey, aww the rain would not be cool! Hope it doesn't rain for ya! Anyways, the day consisted of a 1 hour tour, a 1 hour writing sample, and two 25 minute interviews. I got out by 4 and drove home the same night. Wasn't too bad. As for advice, just go over basic questions (why pharmacy etc) thats all they asked me, and stuff off my resume. Good luck!
I know it's not likely, but I was wondering if anyone had any luck withdrawing from their offer for admission after paying a deposit and getting any of the deposit back? I'm going to give my spot up but I was wondering if it's even worth asking for my deposit back. Thanks
well they did explicitly say that your deposit is non-refundableI know it's not likely, but I was wondering if anyone had any luck withdrawing from their offer for admission after paying a deposit and getting any of the deposit back? I was in Tier 1 and got deferred until Jan so they could review my Fall 2009 grades. I reported my grades and received a new letter that I got an interview. Scheduled my interview in a few weeks. Anyone had an interview and have suggestions????

You can send LOR directly to Veronica if you feel that you really need her to have this.

The deposit is non-refundable, so sorry about that. However, it could not hurt to ask; the worst thing they will tell you is no. Maybe they will make an exception for you?

Just had my interview today. Best advice I can give you is to relax. Interview styles are more like casual conversations. Faculty/staff/students are all friendly and will answer any question you have.
Def. my #1 choice of pharmacy school.
did anyone from Tier 3 receive any interview invitation letter so far? I am kind of nervous for waiting such a long time.
