Update letter+ LOI

Got waitlisted on my top choice (and only choice at this point...)
So I'm sending a combined letter of updates/LOI.

This is how I constructed my LOI/update Letter.

1. Thanking for the interview and telling how much I loved it. I will go if i'm accepted.
2. updates- back in school now, taking X Y Z courses, continuing to volunteer at __.
3. I love the school bc ___, I can contribute ____
4. saying please accept me one more time (lol not literally)

For updates, I updated my interviewers in person during the interview about my new job back in Feb.
Nothing much changed since then, except that I'm back in school to complete pre reqs. I'm volunteering at the same place.

Does it sound okay? Thank you!!

Doesn't sound like the update portion will be very useful to me. None of it sounds significant enough to move the needle how you want it to go. Those more qualified than me may disagree but, unless you have another acceptance to leverage, I would not send any letter and just be patient and hopeful.
