Updating my application after verified

I didnt put down my DO shadowing position on my application because it has not technically happened just yet. If I begin shadowing after my application gets verified, how should I update it? Should I just email or call every school and inform them that I have started shadowing them? or should I just include it into secondaries?

You can update the volunteer experience section on AACOMAS even after you've submitted.
