Hi,
So I retook first year chemistry and submitted my marks and new updated transcript to AACOMAS (Just re-took the classes this past semester). I took the courses at my home university where I had originally taken first year chemistry three years ago. However, overtime the course code changed and they changed the title a bit (Still says Chem!) However, now AACOMAS is refusing to accept it as repeated coursework because the course code and title do not match exactly :s. The course content has not changed over the years, just simply the course code. The transcript even says on it, repeated and lists the new course code. Can someone comment on this? Just say I were to take courses at a different university, would they not be accepted because what are the chances that all schools offer the same course codes and titles :s

I have been emailing them but I will give them a call as well and see if that works!

Emails = they might answer after a week
Calling = your best choice as of this moment

You are going to have to have your school's transcript office email aacomas, on official school email/header, stating the course is the same but just went under a course re-title/numbering/whatever.

Source: Me and several others had this same issue back in June and this is the only way aacomas would accept the grade replacement (IN THIS TYPE OF SPECIFIC SITUATION)

Is the problem bc it's from same college so they expect it to be the same name?

Most people that replace grades (from different colleges) have diff course names and such and don't experience problems.

Yes but AACOMAs handbook states that if repeats are from the same school, they need to have the same course title, number, dept, everything. So since it is not in this case, OP will need to call aacomas and most likely need to do what the posters above did during their application cycles for these "special occasions"
