USC Class of 2013

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Never mind, someone told me how.

1. Log in
2. Click "my 2009-2010 Financial Aid Document Status"
3. Click "Browse available forms in our document library."
4. Click "Click here for a list of available documents."
5. Check "Supplemental Form" then Next at the bottom of the screen
6. Follow the directions, and it'll give you the Fax Sheets plus the extra supplemental forms, but you only need the Pharmacy one.

Thanks again Illinigirl09!

I followed these steps, but the website said there was an error, and so I can't dl or print the cover sheet. Is anyone else having the same problem? ( i was wondering if it's the website or just me).

Only people who have been accepted to USC Pharmacy School fill out the Supplemental form right? And for those who have not been accepted yet only needs to submit their FAFSA only?

You should fill it out even if you haven't been accepted yet because the deadline is March 2nd, and you need to have everything in by then. 🙂

I tried downloading and got an error too. I already have it downloaded though. If someone needs the form and can't download, I can email it. PM me your email address if you'd like it. HTH 🙂

How do you get the fax coversheet without a USC ID?

You should have gotten a USC ID when you applied. Also, I just now realized that the cover sheet has your USC ID and your name, so it wouldn't do any good for me to email the download. Sorry.

On the Supplemental Financial Aid Forum, how do I know how many units I going to take in Fall and Spring? What is the typical amount of units for first year pharm students?

If you look at the curriculum on USC's website, it's 18 units fall/spring for 1st year students, so fill in the 15+ units bubble. 🙂

Does anyone have problem faxing your financial aid paperwork? I tried faxing them but I got the "busy" message. Is it because it's the weekend? Hopefully I can fax it in by Monday.

I haven't tried faxing them yet. Is this how you have it set: Coversheet, School of Pharmacy Graduate School Supplemental Application, End sheet?

for the Federal Stafford Loan and Grad Plus Loan Request form, there are only a cover sheet and an end sheet right? No in between forms that I need to fill out? Do we even have to fax those request form in if we completed the supplemental form? (this is the first time I am doing this ><)

I was able to fax the package to USC. I also promptly got a confirmation email from them.

For those accepted, when is the first day of class?

Orientation is Aug 18-21, first day of class is the 24th

Same here, I got an email confirmation just a couple minutes after faxing.

Did you fax it during the weekends or the weekdays? I tried faxing my packet a couple of times but I kept getting the "busy" response.

I faxed it today.

I tried faxing it again just a moment ago to this number 213-821-3717 but i keep hearing a voice message saying something about customer service and to dial an 860 number.....anyone gettting the same message?

I'm going to try and fax it in the morning. Hopefully it works by then.

Edit: I just came from faxing it at Office Depot (cost me $17! 😡). Got the confirmation from USC. 🙂

$17 for 3 pages!😱 That's so expensive! I went to the medical library on campus and faxed 16 pages for $7.50. Anyways, as long as we fax everything in today then we are all good! 🙂

Since I havent heard anything yet, in leau of receiving an interview invitation email last friday, I should probably get mentally ready for a rejection letter.

Yeah, I've been prepared for awhile for a rejection. I'm very disappointed I didn't get an interview. I would've loved the chance to stay in LA.

Is it true that usc accept people having done with the pre-req?
I'm a 2010 applicant. By July or August of 2009, I will be done with only half of them.
I'm almost done with science and math, but not engligh, comm, soc etc.
(since I'm an international degree holder.....🙁 )
I have very low chance to get in, right? (with 'not that good gpa')

I really think it has to do with GPA. I have around a 3.4 GPA and I got rejected from UCSD and now USC, which I think emphasize GPA more. My EC's are strong and I thought that would give me a big boost, guess not. 🙁

Sorry, it was more than 3 pages. I went ahead and submitted my federal tax forms and my parents. I think there was 17 pages, so $1 a page, which I still think is too expensive. Should only be like $0.25 a page (am I being cheap)? 😀

No, I was missing three pre-req classes before I applied to usc and I still got accepted. One of the admission officers said that it was okay to be missing some pre-reqs as long as it doesn't exceed five.

First, we're in a recession, & secondly we are students, we should be cheap! My library charged $0.50/page which I still thought was expensive.

i have my own fax machine at home...but i'm still having trouble faxing it....there is a little speaker that keeps saying something about customer service and calling an 806 number....anyone got any clues?

omg I have more than 5 classes to take. but these are all non-science classes...I don't know I can apply this year🙁

guys! I really want to talk to admission advisor/professor personally (not the seminar)
is it possible to meet them personally? after finishing this years application&interview process?
Thanks 🙂

i dont know. my cousin who had a less then stellar GPA i believe around a 3.2 or so got into USC with limited retail experience and thats it. I feel like there is a conspiracy surrounding USC. According to her the ratio for girls to guys is 3:1 so maybe they accept more girls then guys or maybe actually i dont even know anymore. I just want to know where i stand..lol.. reject me so i can move on with my life...

Damn, then I don't know what the hell is going on with USC. Maybe they don't want me because I'm a Bruin. :meanie:

I agree about them just sending the freakin' rejection out already. This has gone on way too long.

i just realized why my fax wasn't going thru. My dad had our long distance calling cut off so I couldn't fax out of our area code. I haven't gotten an interview yet. Should I bother driving to Staples and wasting 3 bucks to fax the financial supplemental form over?

For those who received an interview invitation and replied to the email confirming that you are going to attend, did you guys receive any kind of confirmation email back from them? Should I call them to make sure I confirmed the interview?

Haha that's funny because that's exactly what my parents said to me when I told them that I am still waiting to receive any notice from USC. Oh well. *Does an 8-clap*

Once you accept the interview invite, you should get two emails. One saying thanks for confirming and then another with hotel and travel arrangement info.

man, no one knows about what happens after they cashed ur deposit check?

Did you get an e-mail regarding your check? After that you should submit your forms to the fin aid offices for the schools you've applied. There has been no follow up on admits since the november admits.

LoL. That's a lie. USC's dean admitted that UCLA is its largest producer of pharmacy students. Bruins make up an enormous percentage of the class. In my interview group alone there were easily 1/3 UCLA students.

I just received my lack letter today. So... no chance huh? No interview yet.😉
