I think if you get accepted after your interview, you get a big yellow envelope with an acceptance. If you're not accepted and put on Active Consideration, you just get an email. I believe if you're removed off of Active Consideration, you get an email then the letter.

Ahh I see - ugh, the wait is killing me, I can't stop checking my emails/waiting for the postman to come around. Now I can do just one and not both - thanks for the info!

Actually, the first time I got my AC letter it was by snail mail. And some people were also just given the big fatty envelope in the mail without getting an email that they were taken off AC. Sooooo, I'm guessing it doesn't really matter which way you find out. Just keep checking everything! Snail mail or email, I still find myself compulsively checking both! :laugh:

I am on AC and was wondering if anyone who got in took CC classes for their pre reqs?? If so, how many??

I am considering redoing all my cc pre reqs at a 4year. It seems like thats the reason I was put on AC. Thanks!

I went to a CC my first two years of school, but I graduated from a 4 year with a biology degree so I did take advance science classes. It might be possible that's a reason for the AC. I'm not sure. I'm trying to stay hopeful. I'm really really really want to go to USC. I'm sure everyone else that is checking this thread a million times a day like me feels the same way. 😛

I don't think they care as much about CC classes. When I got in, most of my prereqs were CC. Bio, Calc, Chem, Ochem, Physics, English, Speech, A&P all CC. My upper-division was Cell Phys, Molecular Bio, Biochem, and Microbio.
 
Hi did anyone from the March 14 interview get there results yet? I know 9 people from November AC was accepted those who were AC who said they got accepted can you tell me what interview session you went?

There was an interview on March 14th? I thought the only interview in March was on the 21st.
 
I thought the last interview date was on March 21st? Those 9 AC people were removed after the 3rd interview session, so more should be removed after they make their decision for the last interview session.
 
Sorry I meant March 21 march 14 was Westerns. So did the decision for the March 21 come for those who interviewed.

It should come out this Friday. If not this Friday then next, but it took 3 weeks for the previous group.

Just got the letter from USC! Finally acceptance! I was interviewed on Marth 21st. Check your mail. (no e-mail warning).🙂

hey nat nat congrats!!! that is so exciting! would you mind posting your stats, what time group you interviewed with, etc? also, do you live in/close to la?? that letter got to you so fast 🙂 thanks and congrats!!!
 
Did the people that got pulled off the AC list get an email before they got their letter? I can't remember if they did or not.

I have a 3.6+ GPA. Lots of volunteer work but no research experience.
I had the 1st interview. 8:30.
Yes, I live in LA. ~20 min from USC on a good day.

The postmark date was 4/8. But I get my mail very late in the day (around 5) so the mail had more time to get to me. I hope you will hear good news tomorrow. Good luck!

I called today morning and the lady in the admissions office said that they have not even mailed out the decisions yet. She said they will be mailing it out sometime next week. How did someone already receive their letter?!
 
Good luck to you guys too. My mail should be here soon, but I doubt I get anything in the mail. It takes 3 days to get mail from SoCal. If anything was delivered in the mail to me, it'll most likely be tomorrow or Monday. I'm hoping I hear some good news in my email.

😕 A couple got removed off Active Consideration last week and one person said they got their acceptance letter yesterday. Either someone's making stuff up or the person you talked to is wrong. I don't know. *Frustrated*

This exact same situation happened after one of the earlier rounds. Letters & emails were going out and the admissions office told me that nothing was sent yet as well, when obviously it was. In that instance, not everything went out on the same day (like it did after the last round). I'm not sure why they just can't be clear and tell us what's going on.

BTW.. I don't think the post office will be delivering mail today. It's Good Friday.
 
Maybe they send out the decisions in batches? Therefore, maybe not all the decisions have been mailed out as of yet, that's why they are giving me a time frame when everything is sent out?

Just as I expected, nothing in the mail. I did receive a rejection letter from a school that I didn't even do the supplemental for. 😛
 
Yeah I don't think many of us will be hearing from USC today or tomorrow. The lady clearly said "it will be mailed out sometime next week". I called twice to confirm this, with two different people!

There's been some people that have heard earlier this week for the March 21st interview and the previous poster just said that they tell you that even when stuff has been mailed out. One thing this admissions process has taught me is not always believe what you've been told on the phone. Other schools do this do too. Tell you one thing and do the other.

No, my letter did not say anything about the number of people accepted/rejected or on AC list. Just the regular letter, certificate of acceptance, forms to sign and things to do. Have to get busy in getting those vaccines in now.
 
I don't want to be pessimistic or anything but, maybe all the candidates who are accepted get their letters first? and then the rejection letters will be going out sometime later next week?
 
Wow I just got home from school and found out that I was accepted to USC! The letter was waiting for me in my mailbox. It came today! I live in the bay area.
 
Oh by the way, in case some of you want to know, I interviewed on March 21st.
 
er... oh noooooo I also interviewed on 3/21! I live in sd, so does this mean I should have heard something by now? ****. do they send out rejections later on...? oh god.

Think positive. Maybe they haven't sent out all the letters yet. Check tomorrow too. :xf::luck:
