Yes! It is definitely still possible! I was on the waitlist and was accepted two days ago. I emailed admissions and they said those on the waitlist have a chance to be accepted up till the start of the program in September.

Hi all! I’m turning down my acceptance at USC to go to SMU hopefully someone on the waitlist gets my seat! Best of luck to all!
