Hey,

What do you guys think about using his videos to prep for chemistry classes/exams? Are they DAT oriented or they would be useful. Just want to know before I spend the money.

I basically only used Chad's videos for OChem and Gen Chem and boy was it worth it. In fact, it is all I recommend for people to use along with taking multiple practice tests before the big day.

Use chads for the chems, he will teach you pretty much what you need to know for the test.

Soon, the inflow of testimonials from grateful students will make you believe that Chad is some sort of a divine entity

This is so true!! Haha. Love it.

Anyhow, Chad has videos that are catered toward DAT prep, MCAT prep, other test prep, AND regular classes. I never used his "regular course" videos, but I am sure they are just as great as the others. I definitely think the money would be worth it. In my opinion, he is the most under-priced resource.

U of Chad

Wished all my courses were as great as those vids.

I'm watching day 5 of his Orgo videos right now actually. Super helpful b/c I honestly had no clue how to study for Orgo b/c I took it a year ago and forgot a lot. Then I'll have part of the physics and chem videos left. I wish bio were complete, though... Hopefully with his videos I'll get the sciences above tens...i m referring to the MCAT content, FYI.

I honestly think the bio part on dat requires luck

You're gonna have the typical number or chromosomes chromatid questions for mitosis and meiosis, hardy Weinberg equilibrium and then the rest seemed like trivia

That's probably why the bio part of his vids are incomplete

Physics is NOT on the DAT.

Edit: Maybe you are taking the MCAT, since you are wanting above "tens." However, I didn't want this to give other people the idea that it is!

I just bought his videos like* today...
The man is the best, hands down.

As for the question at hand...i used his videos for O'chem once during O'chem II and i killed that second exam (it was like things just made sense after watching chad explain it). Sorry to say but the teacher just couldn't explain it as well as he did.

+ i just started watching the physics videos after my purchase and man! i wish i used these during my physics clasess (even tho i scored okay)...the concepts are out of ma head already...i need to catch up.

Wasn't a fan of his MCAT videos since content review plays a much smaller role in success, but for the DAT I don't think there is a better way to learn G-Chem and O-Chem

When you buy his videos do you own them or is it a subscription? I would like some videos to have on my tablet so I can watch them while on the train or something but I think you need to be connected to the internet to view his videos. Is that true?

Yes, subscription. Mine is for 60 days at $85 dollars.

Yes, you need the internet.

P.s...better to sit down n jot notes as he goes...coz you will gain lots by doing that.

Chads is tailored very well to the DAT. He frequently mentions that "you need X for the dat," or "Y will come up 80% of the time" during his videos. And he was right. And he's also right when he glosses over some materials, claiming they aren't tested as much.

Whereas DAT destroyer is incredibly specific bordering on overkill, Chads is about 90% of what you need to know, and nothing you don't. Supplement with the other materials that are popular, and you're golden.

You probably have already made your decision, but just wanted to let you know I purchased his vids for college gen chem 2, and have an A in the class. I barely even opened the book, and my professor might at well speak in tongues lol. I used Chad's vids to learn 100% of the content. Definitely worth the money!!

Hey, I don't know which one to buy? It seams that DAT Chem is much shorter list in the number of videos it has comparing to Chad's College Chem. Can anyone help which one to buy. It applies to both Orgo and Gen Chem.

If you're purchasing as a study guide for the dat then get the dat specific videos. Using only his dat videos helped me get a 21 in gen chem and 25 in orgo and it had been 7 years since taking those classes. Can't go wrong with Chad.

Chad's videos are super helpful for CHEM and O'CHEM. Not so much when it comes to BIO (I think the BIO videos are relatively new).
