Hi there!

I am a 3rd year student at a DO program. I have already taken COMLEX Step 1. My score is not all that great. Also, I am interested in a program that I know rely on USMLE score to seek out future residents.

I was very much hoping to take USMLE step 1 in February or March this year. However, I can hardly find time to study related to my rotations.

I have a month off right at the beginning of my 4th year. Would there be any problem/disadvantage taking USMLE Step 1 during that month?

Obviously, if I see that I am not doing well on practice exams or UW questionbank, I am not gonna take the test. But I wanna give it a shot.

Thanks.
