A.) Saved all of my (typed) review sheets I made while studying for shelves.
B.) USMLE WORLD: did all (2264) questions my main studying source. I did not re-do all the ones I got wrong because I did not have time. Instead, When I got something wrong I went to my shelf reviews and cut and pasted the sections I needed to brush up on into my final step 2 review sheet.
B.) STEP 2 SECRETS: I would read a section (or a few) and then do the questions in USMLE WORLD after.
C.)
Night before the test I reviewed OLD STEP 2 answers to know heavily hit topics:
http://www.kaplanmedical.com/pdf_files/S2_Released.pdf
Recommend to know these topics cold:
1.) Medicine esp. cardio & respiratory and at least for me endo (my worst section)
2.) Cardiology Listen to the heart murmurs (at least 5 on my exam) & review EKGs (briefly). I reviewed these the night before the test.
3.) Trauma
4.) Peds topics: gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, & developmental milestones! Note: vaccines not hit hard, don't waste a lot of time on them, but review them.
5.) Immunology & Genetics ARE ON THE TEST!!! Esp immunodeficiencies
KNOW THEM COLD!
6.) Not much cancer on the test (3-4Qblood, breast, colon)
7.) OB/Gyne is on the test.
