whats up guys? I apologize for the long post upfront. I have the CK scheduled for tomorrow and Im stuck between postponing or writing the damn thing and getting it over with. I started WORLD at the beginning of 3rd year and averaged a 55% 1st run through by subject, then started a second run through in jan 2011 and scored a 65% overall... after my last rotation in June I started WORLD a third time and have an average of 75% after the first 1000 qs on timed random mode... I dont feel like I remember the answers but I do feel like I remember the scenerios ( trauma, elevated JVD, decreased breathe sounds, hyperresonence =pneumothorx etc)... before I started studying on june 16th, I took an NBME to see whats up and scored a 190... this was after an 8 hr work day so I shrugged it off... over the past three weeks, I have taken UWSA #1 and scored a 210, then NBME #3 and scored a 207, NBME 4 207 and NBME 3 yesterday and scored 209... Im deflated! Here is the weird thing... my strengths and weaknesses are ALL OVER the place... on one test I will have stars above average on 3 or 4 subject and stars below average on others and then on the NBME the next week, its the complete reverse, and Ill have stars above average on my weak areas of the previous NBME and stars below average on my strong areas of the last week... wtf?? Its been like that for every self assesment Ive taken... high above average in neuro, endo, cards etc and then below average on those same areas the next week... its almost as if its the luck of the draw and I do very well depending on some sort of type of questions I get for that particular exam.... and the weird thing thats killing me is that throughout all this fluctuation, my score stays the same! anyone have the same experience? Should I postpone or go for it? ANY ADVICE is much appreciated guys. thanks and take care
