I just withdrew my acceptance at UT memphis to attend UK. Good luck, I hope my acceptance goes to some one here.
 
How long after your interview did you recieve your acceptance/hold letter? It's coming up on two weeks for me.
 
should be on its way...i got mine within two weeks

I got mine quickly too, not even 2 full weeks after my interview. Good luck!

Mine took a while, about a month and little more. Though they were behind and also a snow day that cancelled an adcom meeting

It seems like everyone that got accepted early on in the cycle also got into several other schools but no one out of that group has said they are going to UT.

its so hard to make a decision without financial aid information from the other schools...that's really the limiting step for some of us 🙁

Anyone spoken with the office or know what kind of progress they've made reagarding finalizations? I don't have the guts to call :scared:

I don't know anything new, but I'm scared right there with you! I'm driving my parents crazy about checking the mail. I'd like to call, but I just contacted Nelson a few weeks ago, so I'm afraid it would be overkill... I suppose it'll happen when it happens... :scared:
 
ok i took one for the team and called...:clap:

i gathered that we should expect something by the end of this week or the early part of next week.
 
I also called this morning and Diane said she was mailing out the letters today (and possibly tomorrow). all of the decisions have been made - and no, they won't tell you the decision over the phone. so maybe i will get something before friday. good luck everyone!

That was about what I was expecting, so it's good to know I'm not getting all anxious for nothing. It's unfortunate that this is alligning so closely with finals, though, lol. I reallllly should be studying instead of worrying about the mail!

I know, right?? This is seriously bad timing... (not that I want to wait any longer...) I've got two scenarios - 1. Waitlisted. I'm upset, can't concentrate, and I fail to study adequately for my finals. 2. I'm accepted. I'm absolutely ecstatic, can't concentrate, and I fail to study adequately for my finals. Lol, either way, my grades seem to be likely to suffer. Good thing senioritis has kicked in heavily enough that I don't really care!

im thinking the same thing. i've got a biochem final on tuesday.

Seriously! 😱 Although I'm thinking today is too soon... Even though my parents (where the letter will be going) only live an hour away from the school... I'm thinking tomorrow or Saturday are the most likely days. I kind of hope it's not today, really, as I have two big finals tomorrow that need all of my attention today... Come the weekend I have a little more time to celebrate/mourn...
 
For those already accepted, don't they send an email stating you were accepted in addition to a big envelope with acceptance materials? I'm pretty sure they do. Anyway, did the email come around the same time as the letter? Earlier? Later? I'm starting to freak out too, thankfully I don't have any finals in the next few days. Hope you all the best!!
 
I am currently waitlisted also. Do you guys know if they are sending letters out to everyone this week or just to the people who have not heard anything yet??
 
pkbronco- they send a big packet. i've heard that an email comes with it but I would suspect that it would come after the packet has arrived. Nelson said that they want you to get something official in writing (not email).

jen - it sounds like everyone who got a no decision/waitlist letter will be getting something in the mail soon. someone else called after me and we both got the idea that letters went out on wed or maybe today...if you live around memphis you will probably have something in the mail before friday

You think? I was also thinking they send the emails around the same time you should be getting the snail mail, or a little after. Mr. Strother is very adament about you getting the on paper. I could be wrong, though. Anyone who's already in know?

i've been hearing a mixed bag of responses this year....i've heard that people have called and been told at that time, people have received a packet first and then email later and vice versa...knowing my luck my mailman will be taking a nap down the street until 7...he likes to work late 😀

Sigh, they can't make anything clear and consistent, can they? lol.

Anyone checked the mail yet today?? My Mom is on her way home from work now and will be checking when she gets there. Our mail usually runs around 2:00, so if anything's coming, it's there already. I'm really doubting it's today, though. I already made them promise not to tell me anything at all tomorrow until after my 3:00 final. Not good news, bad news, or even that nothing came. I know I'd lose concetration if I found out right before my big test.

when I got accepted in November, I got an email with pdf of what was in the packet about a week before I got the letter...might've been less than a week, but the email definitely came first.

but didnt you interview in the first group....and wasn't it a long time between your interview and the first adcom meeting? From previous postings, it sounds like a bunch of people heard right around the first week of november and they interviewed at different times. Anyways, it sounds like UT wants you bad, so I'm sure they wanted to get something to you asap.

yeah apparently they were supposed to have an adcom meeting the week I interviewed, but they didn't end up having one for a while.

I'm so close to withdrawing from UT, I need to think about it after finals are over (Tuesday). I'm trying to make a decision ASAP cuz I know some of you guys are having to wait, but I can't make such a life decision when I'm running on coffee, nutter butters, and less than 2 hours of sleep.
 
a friend called Diane and said that 200 letters are going to be mailed out on Monday...people that interviewed up through March. good luck guys!
