geez... i dont log onto sdn for a few weeks and suddenly i find that lane has been hogging all the referrals to carlyle place eh? hmm, lane, need i remind you who got you here in the first place? i really should be getting a cut...

just to second his opinion, i live in the carlyle also and i do like it a lot... very convenient and big apartments, feel free to ask me if you want any more opinions about it. i didnt read too far back, but if you guys are still looking, the most popular apt complexes for our MS1 class seem to be the vintage, carlyle place, medical center apts, the lodge, promontory pointe, and whispering creek. i went apt hunting and looked at all of them except the lodge before i started school here so i'd be happy to give my opinion on any of them from what i can remember.

anyway... if anyone doesn't feel like giving lane another carlyle place referral, i'd be happy to give my name 😀 just... kidding...

Man! What a gorgeous weekend!! I can't believe how much I missed the Hill Country region. And I'll echo what G0S2 said about driving in SA - VERY easy to get around, esp. compared to Houston.

I went apartment hunting this weekend and some places had really good prices. Whispering Creek had a 1/1 for $589 and La Mirage had a 1/1 for $570. Both places were really nice. Just wanted to let you all know the best deals I found. Carlyle Place was a bit pricy at $690 or so.

Hey guys! I made my trip to San Antonio today and looked at the Vintage and Carlyle Place apartment complexes. Though I thought that the Vintage apartment complex looked nicer on the outside, I liked the "inside features" (i.e., floor plans) and management (which, to me, are more important) at Carlyle Place better. I put in my application at Carlyle Place and plan to move in to my new apartment at the beginning of July. I'm so excited! Anyone else moving into Carlyle in July?

Finally, I'm going out and looking at apartments today. I gotta say though, I drove by carlyle place and the vintage and the lodge and man the thought of being able to walk (or skip to class) from the lodge...looks very appealing.
I'm looking at houses as well...

One of my friends currently lives at Walnut Hill, but will be moving out at the end of her lease. The apartments are dark, the ceilings low, and the outside is not very nice. Also, her fiance's car was broken into--that's the main reason she's moving out. That's about all I know.

Ah, my fellow Californian makes an appearance. I don't think anyone has heard about a welcome weekend yet...unfortunatley.

Has anyone else looked at the lodge? It's older but it's not bad and it's cheap and you can jump and you're on UTHSCSA property...it's really close...I think it's closer to the lecture halls than zone e parking or wherever first years get parking. The Vintage ain't so great for the price. I liked carlyle and actually promontory pointe even though people complain of maintenance at the latter.

My team and I visited all of the parks after two days of competing. Man, what a walk down memory lane....and it feels like only yesterday!

Lucky dawg! I love Disney World! Hope you get a chance to go to Epcot Center and Universal Studios. I was there five years ago for a national cheerleading competition. My team and I visited all of the parks after two days of competing. Man, what a walk down memory lane....and it feels like only yesterday!

DisneyWorld was so fun!! (Just got back today) I rode the lilo and stitch "ride" with my little brother and I thought of you when I saw that one character you used to have as your avatar
