There are already 2-3: St. Mathews (it used to be on San Pedro...ahh! I LOVE San Pedro!!), but it might have moved. Then there's one in Belmopan, I think. And maybe another one just for good measure (Belize City?).

But yeah, the motto of the carribean med schools: "study while your scuba tank is filling up."

It's cold with all that dirty snow everywhere. As a matter of fact, I have no heat and I am waiting for the gas guy to get here. It's about 50 in my apartment. The furnace is from 1940. I see it's nice in TX. I am ready for a change.


I received my Texas license today. Not the most flattering pict given I got 3 hours of sleep the night before. It will be my avatar soon.

Absolutely LOVE the OC....it's the only show that I consistently watch every week (along with Alias, but I have a stronger loyalty to the OC). I used to watch Smallville too, but it got a little repetitive after a while....

It's a show on Fox about a few teenagers growing up in Orange County, CA.,,,but the drama (however unrealistic) makes the show totally addicting....

you don't have to get TiVo - just get the DVR service through the cable company for an extra $5 per month. i got it and it's saved me (and my OC) many many times 😀

Nip/Tuck won't start until Sept/Oct this year 🙁 It started in June in the past 2 seasons but Ryan Murphy (producer) is shooting a movie so it pushed the filming for N/T back a few months.

As far as I know, he's still working on it, but that's all I have right now. Hopefully Lane will see this and post what he has going on in the innerworkings of his mind (but not all of it )!

as of now the tentative date is april 29th but i'm awaiting the naming of the recruitment committee president to really get down and dirty with the planning. we had marginal support for the original date i had suggested because a large portion of the class is planning on leaving town (plus it's fiesta week so san antonio would be a mess). hopefully with the weekend of the 29th we will have more students around and have a better all around turnout.

chances are we'll send out an official e-mail when things get finalized since everyone's snail mail addresses are all messed up with school vs. home, etc. i'll let yall know as soon as things are ironed out.

Morning everyone! I hope that y'all had a great weekend and that you got to spend lots of time outdoors. Today promises to be gorgeous (in Houston at least 😉 ) so use the time wisely! I'm going riding after work today! 🙂

Lane, futrdrbaker, etc: Is there a cycling club @ the med school? I know that I used to ride hills and stuff all the time prior to moving to Houston. But because H-town is indeed the Greater Paved Swamp, riding just hasn't happened as much. 🙁 But SA looks fabulous for riding...reason #3344 why I ranked it number one. 😀

Okay, so I've been trying to get some idea of the class schedule/course sequence for the upcoming year. I've been looking over the UTHSCSA med school and HSC websites but have yet to find anything. I'm trying to get an idea of how the days are going to be scheduled, etc. It's annoying when ppl ask me how the school schedules the day and I can't even anwer them.
