Hello - I am a PGY3 in Family Medicine and I want to work at the VA when I graduate. Hoping someone can help me with the following:
1. A few of my classmates already have job offers in the private sector. If I apply to the VA now will they be able to give me a job offer before I graduate residency? The job posting requirements looks like they already want you to be board certified.
2. How difficult is it to get a job at the VA? I am really interested in a particular position but do not want to get my hopes up.
