I have read on the forums that applying pre-MCAT may be beneficial in terms of getting verified early and that once MCAT scores are released additional schools can be added onto the application (if scores turn out well!). The downside is that schools may not review an application until MCAT scores are received.
I am deciding between taking the MCAT in May or June of 2016 (dates not released yet). I realize that scores will be released ~1 month after the exam date which would put me at a complete application by the end of June or the end of July, respectively.
Would the month difference between the end of June vs. end of July be significant in terms of an early complete application? I know that this may depend on the strength of the application as a whole- i.e. this may not have much impact on a strong application but it may be beneficial to apply as early as possible for a weaker application.
Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated!
