Hey guys, I have a question regarding the committee letter and verification. I'm planning on submitting my primary by sometime next week. And I'll also turn in all the required information that my school requires for the committee letter this weekend. Only thing is that my school handles all my letters of recommendation and they're responsible for compiling them and then releasing them along with the committee letter. Can you still be verified without those letters and does this impact you getting secondaries? Thanks!

If only there was a non-cynical way to answer the OP's question.

OP, I have the same "problem". My letter wont be uploaded probably until the first week of July which is early enough. Most schools will not sit down to review your application until everything is turned in, so your MCAT-Primary App-Secondaries-LOR's. So as long as your letter is submitted sometime in July ideally, while you are submitting your secondaries, you will be fine!

I've aready submitted my AMCAS app and had it verified and am not anticipating any delays with my application as long as my letter is turned in by mid-July

Best of luck this cycle.

O and you will recieve secondaries for the most part with no delays what so ever, I think that if a school does screen for secondaries it is usually based off of numbers. MCAT/GPA and Residency, which are all clearly reflected on your primary app.

Letters are only used in secondaries...which is why you can add letters after your app is submitted. Make sense?
