If I took summer classes between junior and senior year, what is the academic status for those classes (junior or senior)? Thanks.

I could be wrong, but I think in the instruction booklet it says the summer school course belongs to the following fall/spring year.

The year will be the next academic year but the status is still Junior. So if junior year was listed as 2002. Summer session would be 2003, but the status is junior.

According to the AMCAS instruction book, page 30:

"Assign the upcoming status to summer session courses (e.g., summer courses between your freshman and sophomore years should be assigned sophomore (SO) status)."
