Hey everyone, I take my re-take my dat on Monday and I'm really nervous. I have studied for 1.5 months and have prepared well, but i keep doubting myself. I am afraid that I will do worse than I did last time and have wasted over 900 dollars. I feel like throwing up and my mind isn't working properly and I've lost my apatite. Any advice of words or encouragement?

don't doubt yourself. You shall be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't panic if you see some random questions on the DAT, stay calm, often times it feels like you are doing horrible but in the end, you may end up with a good score.

If you messed up on one of the section don't get discouraged throughout the test, try to shake it off and do well on the rest of the test.

Good luck man! 👍

It's ok to be nervous. It's human nature. Why do you feel that you're gonna do worse? What are your recent practice test scores like? That should somewhat tell you how you'll do this time around. Besides, your first set of scores aren't that bad either. Do whatever you usually do to calm yourself down; sports, reading, sewing, studying, etc.

Don't worry, be confident. Life is full of trouble. When you worry, you make it double.
if you have studied for 2 months, you will definitely do better only if you keep your cool.
Good luck

I'm taking DAT on Monday as well.
When I read your post, I TOTALLY understand.
I also lost my appetite and felt like throwing up 😀
Goooood luck and hopefully both of us don't get FRAP!!!

I am taking it in about 2 weeks. I am nervous as heck as well. If you prepared well for this test for 1.5 months, then you should be golden. Don't look back. Look only ahead. Good luck.

you need to get some fresh air. go for a walk around the block or something. now is also not the time to be learning new stuff. review stuff you feel okay about today. maybe review stuff you feel really good about tomorrow. then rock it out. good luck. take mini-breaks as often as you need.

Thanks everyone. I went to the gym and feel a lot better. I'm also trying to have a positive attitude towards the test. The more I sit here twiddling my thumbs wondering what my scores will be, the more anxious I become. I'm just gonna go there on monday and own that ****.

mine is on Tuesday. Iam so nervous , too. I tried to go over Destroyer again , but i can not concentrate . Hell, i hope i can get over this kind of feeling . Good luck to all who'll take DAT in next comming week .

hey i'm taking my test wednesday,

some advice though, relax and laugh

watch a funny movie or spend some time with friends for a bit to get your mind off the stress of the test, and definitely exercise. Exercise is proven to get more oxygen to your brain to allow you to think more clear. So do these things, sleep well, and you'll rock the exam.

stay confident and never doubt yourself. you still have the chance of obtaining that high score, and once you doubt yourself you just broke a leg off. so keep your head high and give it all you got. whatever happens after the exam is never the end. so good luck.
