So in my junior year, I sent my lab partner my Chem post lab and I got caught for "facilitating cheating", and I received a 0 on the lab report, a letter grade reduction, and I had to complete an academic integrity seminar. There is no mark on my transcript besides a D in the class, and I believe an official file has been created under my name regarding the incident.

On the PTCAS app, there is a question asking if I have violated any code of conducts in college. I plan on telling the truth and explaining how I learned from my mistake, but I am still worried that this may really hurt my chances of getting into any programs.

Does anyone have any experience with this or know someone who did? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Quick stats:
School: University of Maryland
Degree: Physiology and Neurobiology
cGPA: 3.41
pGPA: 3.6 - 3.9?
Hours: 700 hours as PT Tech at 1 outpatient clinic
GRE: Taking in mid august, expecting at least 154 on both Q and V.
Extra Curric: VP of my fraternity

Thanks!
