Hi everyone! I'm an international student planning on applying to U.S. dental schools in the 2026 cycle. I was wondering if I'm able to volunteer back in my home country (Singapore) to build volunteer hours or if hours have to be in the U.S. I would appreciate any input on this. Thank you so much!

Hey, volunteering definitely adds up to your CV, regardless of the location. If you are already a dentist in your home country it makes more sense to volunteer at a dental setting. But if you are just finishing college you can also volunteer at animal shelters, food pantry, etc.
