How much Volunteering or other ECs do you guys do on a weekly basis?

Do you volunteer at one then more place per week, if so for how many hrs?

Overall, how many hrs a week do you spend in Volunteering/ECs activities?

I don't know yet. I'm volunteering next March at a local hospital (they are full of applicants atm), but I hope to do around 10 or more hours a week.

It's amazing--more difficult to get a volunteer position than a job where I am.

I was doing about 10-15hr/wk volunteering between the ER, free clinic, and animal shelter..

Worked about 18-20hr/wk

Shadowed 100+hrs

While going to pharm school...starting last year in Nov through May.

Once I got to rotations in pharm, I had to stop doing alot except for some ER and work. I still help out on special things at the animal shelter.

I had to make up time....but they ask how I did everything last year and maintain my GPA....I slept little and had no life!! 😀

Do work!!

8 hours total at three different places, work 22 hours and school full time.

About 17 hours a week if you count my 12 hour EMT shift as 12 hours of volunteering.

Work 3 hours a week.

I'm only allowed 4 hours a week at the hospital I'm at. I plan on going hospice next semester maybe. On top of that, I've had scheduling conflicts and have missed a couple volunteer days, hope that doesn't bite me in the butt.

I'm impressed that some of you spend so long volunteering 👍 I seriously don't think I could find 20+ hours to volunteer in addition to the other stuff I'm doing.

ECs wont get you in but they might keep you out....
