I was just curious how many hours (approx) did you all have in volunteering and/or community service when you applied to Med School! A guy at my school had a 3.5 GPA and 30 O on the MCAT and over 300 hours of volunteering at a hospital and he was wait listed at University of Chicago last year! Any comments??

u of chicago is a badass school.

its not gonna be too much a surprise that he got waitlisted.

300 hours isnt too much...especially if you like what you are doing...then you can log a bunch more.

but yeah. i wish i was waitlisted at uchicago 😉
