Waitlisted at Tier 1 Schools

I was just wondering if anyone new what chance an applicant has if they were waitlisted at a Tier 1 School (i.e. 1-10). I am waitlisted at UPenn and Duke and was told I am "very high" on the list. And what were the chances of going there as and MD Only and applying again internally?

At both of those schools if you are "very high" on the list you stand a real strong chance of getting in. At Penn at least though if you're in the running for MD/PhD you're really not being considered for MD. Send a LOI to your top pick and hang in there!
