Wake Forest Post-interview Wait?

I interviewed at Wake Forest on 10/29, and the committee met today (11/14) to decide on our applications.

Does anyone know how long they waited between interview days or committee meetings until they heard a response? I had a great experience at WFU so I'm a little eager to find out what their response is. Based on what you guys may have seen, should I call tommorrow? Will it update online soon? Give it till next week?

They emailed us exactly a week after the committee met, although that was after I think the very first meeting; they could be behind by now.... I actually got antsy that morning and called, but they wouldn't tell me anything (I got the email about 2 hours later- silly me...). So I don't know if calling will help, but you can try.
 
They told me my committee meeting was 11/6- I got the email same-day. I had a really positive experience as well...in fact, that's why I chose WF >).
 
Ah. I am nervous. I also was reviewed last night. Who wants to be the guinea pig and call first?
 
I interviewed earlier in October and my file went to the committee on Halloween. I heard back a week later. Just a note, my status page was updated before I received the email.
 
i'm another one of those reviewed on 11/14... Everytime I see that I get a new email in my inbox my heart jumps (or sinks??) just a little. but then it's usually junk mail or an SDN forum update notice. thanks alot 🙂

on a slightly different note - is there any possibility they notify everyone at the same time, regardless of waitlist, rejections, acceptances? or do you think they'd notify acceptances 1st and so on?

i worry we'll find out 11/20... my birthday! 😱 it could make it the best or worst birthday ever...

You will most likely get an email on either Monday, Tuesday or Wed. of next week (seems to have varied a little every two weeks). But they are very good about letting you know.
 
Question, I have been verified now for 8 days ( i know I know really late), since I only applied to wake this year when should I expect to here any news from them, whether it be a secondary invite, or just an email confirming that they got my primary? Should I call them if I dont here anything by next tuesday?

It took me about two weeks to get a secondary from them.
 
bump. has anyone from this most recent two week block heard anything?
 
not me, but i can't check my status page from work. and you all?
 
Did anyone stay with a student host? If so, how long before your interview did you find out you had a host for sure?
 
So I called this morning to see if they could give me a decision, and she said that the decisions hadn't been entered yet and we could expect to hear back after Thanksgiving

Has anyone been pulled of the post-interview waitlist yet at wake to be accepted?
 
I know around 12 people get accepted per 2 weeks...but just how many of the rest get waitlisted as opposed to rejected? Do you remember what they said about this on interview day?
 
i interviewed 10/25, reviewed 11/14, and just got an email stating i got in today, 11/19!!!! best of luck to all of you!

ps: i called today first and the lady said she couldnt tell me, but an hour later i got the email. (just for those who were asking how long was the wait etc)_
 
If Wake likes to be contacted, would that mean that the receptionists play a role in admissions?
 
The waitlist probably won't start moving for several months. I'd actually say more like April at the very earliest, with things picking up after the May deadline and lasting even until after orientation starts. Try to write a couple of update letters between now and March, and try to not stress about it too much. Best of luck.

Wow. That is quite some time. On the letter it says that they look at people on the wait list every committee meeting though? Do you know if people have actually come off the wait list earlier than April? Thanks for the info by the way!
 
ADCOM meets again on the 5th of December. They said they take 15-20 students each time they meet, most of the rest are waitlisted. Good luck

i believe so. i received an email with attached PDF a few days before the actual letter.

i dont know if the online status page changed before/after the email came. but just keep a lookout in your inbox 🙂
 
Just got the pdf n my email. That was the best email I have ever gotten. No long wait for snail mail, the ADCOM met two days ago...I interviewed last week...and Bam!!! 🙂

I have an interview in Feb is this a very late interview???? I love the school!!!! tho I have never been there. I am flying from Alaska and find it is cheaper to fly into Charlotte International... any tips on how to get there from Char... and where to stay????/ Can you tell me about the interview process Please :luck:I need feed back:hardy:

i just got wait listed at WF today. does any one know if anyone was rejected? and how long do we have to wail until we see some movement?😕

They said on interview day that Wake rejects VERY FEW people outright. They accept a few and put almost everyone else on the WL. They can do this because they are extremely selective PRE-interview. As for how long before movement takes place, Wake has an active WL, or whatever they call it, meaning that they continuously review people on the WL, and can accept someone of the WL at any time, for as long as they have spots to fill.

There is an adcom meeting TODAY.
 
When is the next ADCOM meeting? Anyone know how they are doing so far, is the class filled? How much movement can one expect of their waitlist around may 15th?

I just got off the wait list!!!!! I am going to WF!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!

I was notified over email that I was pulled off the waitlist. Don't give up hope people.
 
hey guys, i cant find anywhere where aamc or specific schools say you can hold onto one acceptance. ive read its may 15th, but cant find the raw information that states so. ive been filling out the financial aid info for wake forest but does that mean im committing to wfusm only?

your not committing to WF only this is the only way you can get the Fin aid package and make a choice.... as of May 15 you can hold only 1 acceptance and as many wait list.
