If anyone has made a list of the abbreviations for insurances used at Walgreens would someone please be kind enough to PM me the list? I'm having a hard time remembering them all...

best thing I've seen new technicians do are carry a little notebook and write down the plan ID codes along with bin #s when they come across a new card. Wish I had done that when I first started but after a long enough time you memorize them. At least the ones used in your store.

Which is the reason that your question isn't very practical. I've worked in two states and all the codes are different so you just need to remember the ones you regularly see. Cheers.

Find somebody else local who is a really good tech and ask them to help you write out a cheat sheet with the most common codes as they tend to be local, like bungerman said.

Oh, yea, I'm aware it varies state-to-state for some but I was just wanting to know most of the basic ones. It's all good though. I'll get them down before long.

easiest one to remember is 'PAID' (if you see the "medco" logo anywhere on the ID, use this planID)

always search by BIN then PCN, and find the plan ID with the description that best matches the card.

If the PT is a Medicare Part D member, look for "MPD" towards the end of the planID.

Defintily make a little cheat sheet to carry around, eventually you'll memorize all the common ones that are local to your region. 😉
