I grew up in Chicago area so have strong ties there and to Philadelphia where most of my family lives. Not sure if this makes a difference in applications or if this makes me a stronger candidate for schools that are in the area. I am also interested in Family Medicine.
I don't have a letter of rec from a “hard” science prof like physics, chem, or bio, closest would be genetics. Not sure if this is worrying if combined with my lower phys score on MCAT. But I am truly open to any school, MD or DO - I just want to be a doctor🙂
Schools I’m considering below. I’m thinking Yale, NYU, and Penn might be a bit out of reach for me but happy to hear any thoughts on that.

You have a strong application. Some schools do not take many out-of-state students and have little reason to think you'd attend them even if they accepted you (ie West Virginia, Cooper). Possibly ditto for Rush and Loyola knowing either Northwestern or U of Chicago are options for you. I suggest:

They go after higher stat applicants (specifically Iowa’s OOS pool) and help broaden your list more beyond schools like Harvard, Penn etc
