Hey everyone, I posted before, but would like some help refining this list... What do you think.

Stats:
3.9 cGPA 4.0 sGPA
517 MCAT
White, AZ resident, large state university. Biosci major

750 clinical hours as an EMT for ambulance service. ongoing
50 hours shadowing 3 different specialties
300 research hours, clinical research assistant for Mayo clinic 2+ years (mentioned I do some shadowing through this too) ongoing, and wet lab experience as freshman
1 Pub from clinical research
250 volunteering non clinic Big Brothers Big sisters+ Habitat for humanity ongoing
60 clinic volunteer as volunteer EMT ongoing
100+ leadership. premed club president + student mentor for college ongoing
300+ hobby woodworking ongoing
300+ unrelated job (landscaping) from first 2 years college
Solid letters I think? 2 science (1 was also leader for mentor class),1 writing class and 1 doctor PI

Thanks goro, I'll add Co for sure. So why do you think I should delete those 8 specifically?

Definitely agree with removing these schools. They will be low yield for you.

Edit: although if you don't want to remove all 8, then I'd keep Baylor and Georgetown.

Why would they be low yield?
 
They know from historic norms that candidates like you go to better schools. They only have so many people they can interview, so they want to interview those who are most likely to attend.
Thats a good point... thanks for the info. I took off most the schools you listed, except my Grandpa went to Creighton, so I promised I'd apply there...

You don't think this makes my list too "top-heavy"?

I don't think so. You have a perfect GPA, 95th percentile MCAT, solid EC's and research (despite what you may see on SDN, most applicants don't have a clinical research publication). I don't think your list is too ambitious because you have quite a few mid-tiers on there.
