Hi everyone, I am looking for some guidance on making a school list for both MD and DO. I am taking 2 gap years, if all goes well this cycle.

Stats:
GPA = 3.90
sci GPA = 3.91 (from my university, not sure about AMCAS yet)
MCAT = 512 (129/125/132/126)

Demographics: NJ resident, South Asian ORM

Clinical experiences:
Medical Assistant for a clinic that did lots of procedures = 400 hours over 6 months
Medical Assistant 2 = 120 complete, 400 projected
Medical Assistant 3 = completely projected, will start soon
Clinical Volunteering 1 = 50 hours
Clinical Volunteering 2 = 50 hours

Nonclinical Volunteering:
Crisis Text Line = 150 complete, 400 projected

Research:
Research on one project = 200 hours over 8 months
1 Publication from the above research

Shadowing:
Shadowed 2 specialties = 55 hours

Other activities:
Tutor = 30 hours over 1 semester
Honors Award = Scholarship and Summa Cum laude
Honor Society Club Member = 60 hours
Listed 2 hobbies

Rec Letters:
4 total = 2 science, 1 nonscience, 1 from Doctor
No research rec letter, will this be a problem?

Current School List MD:
RWJ
NJMS
Drexel
Rowan Cooper
Hackensack
Eastern Virginia
Quinnipiac
University of Alabama
UC Davis
Wake Forest
Temple
Buffalo
Albany
Rosalind Franklin
Penn State

Current School List DO:
Rowan Virtua
NYIT
PCOM

I appreciate any help with the school list. Are there any holes in my application that you would recommend focusing on in my second gap year? Will 4 rec letters with no research letter be a problem? Thank you so much!

EDIT 1: Sorry, accidentally had Crisis Text Line as 400 completed, it is 400 projected

Remove Buffalo, Alabama and UC Davis since they admit very few non residents with no connection to the state. You could add these schools:
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Ponce (St. Louis)
Roseman
Alice Walton
TCU
Belmont
NOVA MD
Methodist
Virginia Commonwealth
George Washington
Jefferson
New York Medical College
Vermont
UMass
To your DO list you could add LECOM, Touro-NY.

Thank you for the help! Do you foresee any problems with the rec letter, and do you think there is a specific spot I should work on improving?

Do you have any in-person service orientation: food distribution, shelter volunteer, job/tax preparation, legal support, transportation services, or housing rehabilitation? You must have 150 hours submitted in this category or your application may be screened out. Text line will not satisfy this requirement.

Hi Mr. Smile,

I do not have any in-person service orientation. I will definitely work on that ASAP, but I already submitted my primary. Do you have any advice for how to proceed from here? Thank you.
