  • Demographics: ORM
  • Education:
    • Bachelors in Neuroscience going to be completed by matriculation
  • First Generation University Student
  • Stats:
    • MCAT: 518 (130/130/127/131)
    • undergrad GPA: 3.97
    • SGPA: 3.95
  • ECs:
    • Clinical: 720 Hours of Scribing, 1050 Hours taking care of my mother over a long period of time (not really clinical but explained in W/A that it helped me understand the system better and get to know a wide range of specialties)
    • Non-clinical: 728 Hours of soup kitchen volunteering, E-Board of Minority Student Organization for 3 years, tutoring for my schools learning services, captain of intramural dodgeball team, was a member on an editorial board for a peer reviewed history journal
    • Shadowing: 100 hours with a family doctor (was really hard to get here)
    • Research: 850 hours working in a behavioural neuroscience lab including research grant for 5000 dollars (no publications)
    • listed some hobbies including hiking and reading (big fan of dostoevsky and tolstoy)

  • From what I have seen on MSAR all of these schools have interviewed and matriculated at least some internationals this previous cycle

West Virginia admits few applicants with no connection to the state or region. You could add these MD schools
Case Western
Georgetown
TCU
Loma Linda (if you fit their mission)
You could also add these DO schools:
WESTERN
AZCOM
CCOM
KCU-COM
NOVA
UNECOM
WCU-COM
Touro-NY
 
West Virginia admits few applicants with no connection to the state or region. You could add these MD schools
Case Western
Georgetown

Loma Linda (if you fit their mission)

Thank you so much for the advice! From my research Georgetown only accepts US citizens or non permanent residents with some form status like DACA which I don't have, unless I misunderstood from the website. Ill look more into the other schools though thank you. Also do you think I stand a good chance at the schools on my list, I know internationals have a much lesser chance of acceptance but I think anything is probably a better chance than Ontario IP med schools.

You could receive interviews. The Michigan schools and Dartmouth like Canadians.
