Hello! I hope everyone is doing well with these circumstances. Please advise on my school list, I plan on taking a gap year and applying during the 2021-2022 cycle. I'm planning to scribe during my gap year and save up for applications, but if there is anything else that I could improve upon, please let me know.

I want to stay on the East Coast and I would really prefer allopathic schools but please advise/I would really appreciate feedback!

- Volunteering
- I fundraise for various charities with a student group (see below), but not sure if that would count as volunteering
- ~30+hrs assisting an NST in the endoscopy and urology clinic
- ~20 hrs tutoring English to middle eastern students over video chat
- ~200 hrs as a front desk volunteer at a local free clinic
- Research
- 400+ hrs researching an epigenetic congenital disorder (Kabuki Syndrome) by revitalizing/maintaining the mice models and gathering experimental data.
- ~80 hrs collecting patient data and updating databases to evaluate the quality of life for breast cancer patients.
- ~100+ hrs assisting in diagnostic techniques for Chagas disease. My first research position so I mostly learned how to do the things/might not include in the application?
- Shadowing - 150+ hours from breast oncology and thoracic surgery to emergency medicine. I especially enjoyed an 8-hour long esophagectomy and several overnight observations in the ER
- Leadership
- Comptroller general/treasurer for a major student-led group that organizes a high school Model UN conference. My fundraising team raised around $10,000 every year for a chosen charity since I've been in this position. 6+hr/wk plus a four-day conference for 3 years
- Treasurer for Circle of Women, which focuses on advocating for girls' secondary education
