Non-trad
3.6 s/cGPA (had a 3.1 first semester and 3.7s after.. idk if that constitutes a trend)
Took my mcat recently. I was hitting 522's on AAMC FLEs. Let's say that I get 516-522. Retaking an expired MCAT.
2500 hours as a hospital technician, 500 hours as a scribe
150 hours clinical volunteering
~60 Hours of shadowing
800+ hours non-clinical volunteering, 450 in a very solid, longterm leadership position
Lots of time (5000 hours) as a TA and a tutor (same position for years now, got promoted to leadership)
Medical and non-medical mission trips (house building, medical humanitarian)
Cookie-cutter research, nothing special
Serious hobbies in music and sports, nothing I've received recognition for.
LOR from my PI, department dean, and 2 from non-clinical EC commitments. I have another one already written from a different PI I've known for years, but it felt redundant to include this as well. I don't have any non-science academic letters (how much of a problem is this?)
Went to a reasonably prestigious private school.
I know that the MCAT range makes it hard to predict. Honestly, I'd be thrilled and honored to get into any medical school, though my preference is Allopathic and I'd like to go to as good of a school and pay as little as possible.
