I do understand that my GPA is prob going to be my #1 weakness in my application. In my explanation statement, I explained the circumstances ( working 2 full time jobs to minimize loan take out for that Post Bacc situation). I stated that I have upward trending grades for summer quarter.

My personal statement talks about my goals of working in small animal ER and ultimately my journey/any take-aways I have learned throughout the journey.

Your stats are well below WSU’s averages, though not outside of the previous ranges. I’d probably consider it a long shot but be pleasantly surprised if/when you get in. I don’t think it’s hopeless but I also don’t think you’re a shoo-in. Your overall science and “post bac” GPAs being lower than your others does not particularly inspire confidence that you are ready for the rigors of a science heavy program…that doesn’t mean you aren’t a worthy candidate or can’t handle vet school, but it’s a lot tougher of a “sell” compared to someone who had an upward trend and has been rocking those upper level science courses. A lot may ride on your essays and letters of rec. Being in-state is better than being in the OOS pool though for sure, and like I started out by saying, even if your stats are below WSU’s averages, they are within range of previous accepted students. Nothing else you can do at this point but continue to wait and also gain experiences in the meantime. Taking some additional sciences to boost your science GPA and that last 45 type category might not be a bad idea IF you can do well in them.
