Was I BLACKLISTED from CVS? A harrowing story...

Another harrowing story: My 110 lb Husky-mix (kissin me below), had his toe bit off and eaten by his mother as a puppy, so they named him Frodo. I didn't have the heart to change it when I adopted him at 3yrs, so I kept it. Now, I get made fun of when I yell out to him in public and marked as some obsessive LOTRs freak. This has been going on since I got him 4yrs ago. Very harrowing to always be considered neighborhood nerd!!! 😡

A couple dozen ID pharmacists are not going to chance anything in the global scheme of ABX resistance. For every pharm preventing the inappropriate use of an ABX, there are 10 MDs giving an ABX for a viral URTI

There are more than a couple dozen of us out there....go educate yourself on legislation both in the US and globally related to antimicrobial resistance. Seriously, you've got to start somewhere and work up. It isn't just pharmacists, it is physicians, RN's...go to an ICAAC or IDSA meeting and you will see it is more than a few dozen pharmacists. Stewardship saves lives and money...

Don't be a hater...we're trying to do the responsible thing for our patients and globally.

But every time I get sick I take a Zpack and in about a week I get better. I have to have the brand name only of course because the generic doesnt work. I make my doctor give me a prescription for one everytime I get sick.

1) It's CVS why would anyone want to work there?
2) You are doing a residency so you will be at the hospital, so why do you care about CVS? If you are blacklisted....who cares? You wouldn't want to work there anyways. I know I def do not. I don't care for drive thrus.

True story: one semester I had an 8:00 AM class where the professor would lock the door and you would lose 10 points off your next exam. One time after a big exam I took a nap and woke up at 7:50. I was absolutely panicking so I put my clothes on, grabbed my bag, and ran to class only to find out it was 8:01....PM.
 
I haven't slept more than 4 consecutive hours in 3 months. Harrowing.

That is not harrowing that is shocking! Pharmacists are professionals of the highest caliber...how could someone {GASP} yell at a pharmacist?!?!?!?

As a side note I am getting ready to watch Office Space for the first time since I joined cubie land. It should have a whole new meaning for me!

lmao... please tell me Caremark doesn't have TPS reports? Someone told me these exist at one of the chains (can't remember which), but I couldn't ascertain if they were bull****ting me or not... :meanie:

One time a nurse called to speak to a Pharmacist....

When I asked what they needed...They stated that the they HAD to speak to a Pharmacist.

Upon speaking with a Pharmacist...........


They informed them that they had faxed a new order and needed a MAR...

That chit happened all the time in retail. Patient opps I mean customer calls up and HAS to talk to the pharmacist. Pharmacist gets on the phone and the customer gives the pharmacist prescrition numbers for refills.
 
My rotation now is at a hospital and this hospital still doesn't use electronic charts. Everything is handwritten. It is quite HARROWING trying to read some of these doctor's handwriting. 🙄 It's the hardest part about my rotation.

We used to go a lot when I was younger. I went last year and the coasters were definitely not as smooth as I remember them being. Still a great time though.
